Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Sells 5 Million Units In A Month

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Sells 5 Million Units In A MonthThe Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was released about a month ago and given the Galaxy Note series’ popularity, it does not come as a surprise to find out that the Galaxy Note 3 has done pretty well for itself. According to a statement made by Samsung’s CEO, JK Shin, he has confirmed to a Korean media outlet that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has managed to sell 5 million units worldwide in a month since its release. To put this into perspective, the original Galaxy Note took about 5 months to hit that mark, while the Galaxy Note 2 took 2 months to reach the 5 million milestone, so we have to wonder with the Galaxy Note 4 (assuming there is one), could it take Samsung weeks to move that many units?

The Galaxy Note 3 was released last month and we definitely like what we saw (you can check out our comprehensive review). The original Samsung Galaxy Note was announced back in IFA 2011 and many thought the idea of a smartphone with a 5.3” display was a bit ridiculous. Many had initially thought of the device as a novelty and that the trend would eventually phase out, but surprisingly it stuck and many manufacturers have since released smartphones with displays just as big, if not bigger, like Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra which borders on ridiculous with a 6.4” display, making it the biggest phablet in the market at the moment.

The Aero-Tray will make long flights a bit more cozy

    Aero-Tray
There is only one place on a plane where you can get a lot of leg room and space to set down all of your stuff. The only problem is that first class is super expensive, and if you travel often the cost can drain your savings in no time. While you’re on the move, work never really stops and being in the quiet space of an airplane is a great place to focus and draft some messages or reorganize things on your laptop.

You’ll still be fighting for space of course, but hey, it’s better than trying to nap, right? Well, it would be easier if you had a designated work station right at your seat. This is what the Aero-Tray is hoping to do for all of you jet-setters out there. This is a travel accessory that you put on top of the fold-down tray on the seat back in front of you when you fly. It gives you a place for all the essentials, even if the person in front of you decided they want to recline their seat.

This can pretty much be whatever you want. It can set your laptop flat or angled, depending on your situation, and it can be folded into two tiers so you have a place to put your snacks. There’s also a cup holder, so you don’t have to worry about your glass knocking over whenever you get a drink and have something else on your tray. This will cost you around $65, and it is extremely portable as it weighs next to nothing, and collapses flat.

California is technology’s spiritual home in the US, where Teslas roam free, and Google Glass is already a social norm. Well, unless you’re a member of the San Diego law enforcement that is — as one unlucky driver just found out. That commuter was Cecilia Abadie, and she’s (rather fittingly) taken …

Grand Theft Auto 5 Has Shipped 29 Million Copies To Date

Grand Theft Auto 5 Has Shipped 29 Million Copies To DateWhen it comes to highly-anticipated games of 2013, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V is probably high up there on the list. While Rockstar did run into slight issues with GTA Online, it did not detract from the overall experience and has been met with glowing reviews. The game has also managed to break several records and achieved some pretty insane sales figures so far, but if you’re wondering how well the game has done for itself about a month after its launch, Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, has revealed that GTA 5 has managed to ship 29 million units to retailers to date.

According to Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, “The title received stellar reviews, shattered entertainment industry records, and has already sold-in nearly 29 million units to date. The extraordinary success of Grand Theft Auto V illustrates the positive momentum in our business and consumers’ enduring appetite for the highest-quality interactive entertainment.” The game managed to net a whopping $1 billion in three days from its launch, breaking the previous record which was held by Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Will GTA 5 be able to hold onto the crown especially with Call of Duty: Ghosts set for release soon? We guess we will have to wait and see, but for things are looking good.
