Feminist Gloria Steinem tackled gender issues and women’s rights in Oklahoma on Monday during an address at CHOICES 2013, a benefit for Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma.

“I’m very clear that the enthusiasm with which you greet me has something to do with the lack of enthusiasm for your legislature,” Steinem told the crowd in Oklahoma City.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The American public wasn’t clamoring for military intervention in Bosnia nearly two decades ago, but former President Bill Clinton says foreign policy decisions cannot be made by the polls.

Clinton rallied U.S. allies to support airstrikes to end the ethnic killings in the region in the 1990s. But some of more than 300 recently released documents show that gaining support for U.S. intervention in Bosnia wasn’t an easy sell.

Clinton spoke about the conflict during a symposium on Tuesday in Little Rock. He also praised the CIA’s release of newly declassified documents about intelligence and presidential policymaking during the Bosnian conflict.

[CEATEC 2013] Machine vision is an idea that certainly has its fair share of practical applications, especially in the manufacturing lines of factories which are able to spot flaws, even minute ones, that the average human eye is unable to do so. Combine the fact that such high level precision works without getting tired or suffer from drowsiness, and you’ve got quite a winner here. Are there any other practical applications in the real world that machine vision can be applied? Omron has showcased their Okao Vision system which as you can see in the image above, saw some doe-eyed folks staring at a camera which will then identify the person’s face, making the relevant analysis before revealing one’s possible age based on a best guess basis.
