Bill Clinton Praises Release Of Bosnian War Documents

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The American public wasn’t clamoring for military intervention in Bosnia nearly two decades ago, but former President Bill Clinton says foreign policy decisions cannot be made by the polls.

Clinton rallied U.S. allies to support airstrikes to end the ethnic killings in the region in the 1990s. But some of more than 300 recently released documents show that gaining support for U.S. intervention in Bosnia wasn’t an easy sell.

Clinton spoke about the conflict during a symposium on Tuesday in Little Rock. He also praised the CIA’s release of newly declassified documents about intelligence and presidential policymaking during the Bosnian conflict.

Apple acknowledges iMessage delivery issues, is working on a fix

A number of iOS 7 users have reported problems sending and receiving using iMessage (not that it’s the first time), and tonight Apple has responded. The Wall Street Journal has a statement from the company claiming the issue affects “a fraction of a percent” of its iMessage users, and says it will be fixed in a future software update. TechCrunch points out a support document that may provide temporary relief to those experiencing the issue, otherwise users may need to fall back to one of the many, many, many other messaging services out there (but not BBM, yet, and Google Hangouts had its own issue recently) to make sure those messages are getting through.

Omron’s Okao Vision Takes A Guess At Your Age

Omron’s Okao Vision Takes A Guess At Your Age[CEATEC 2013] Machine vision is an idea that certainly has its fair share of practical applications, especially in the manufacturing lines of factories which are able to spot flaws, even minute ones, that the average human eye is unable to do so. Combine the fact that such high level precision works without getting tired or suffer from drowsiness, and you’ve got quite a winner here. Are there any other practical applications in the real world that machine vision can be applied? Omron has showcased their Okao Vision system which as you can see in the image above, saw some doe-eyed folks staring at a camera which will then identify the person’s face, making the relevant analysis before revealing one’s possible age based on a best guess basis.
