Tom Coburn Calls Harry Reid ‘An Absolute A**hole’

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) found it “disgraceful” that some members of his party — including Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) — were fundraising in New York on the Hurricane Sandy anniversary, having voted in January against recovery funding for the disaster.

But it was Coburn who was dishing out the real insults Monday evening, according to the New York Daily News.

Coburn was headlining a gala fundraiser for the New York Young Republican Club when he was reportedly asked about relations within the Senate.

With no technical glitches to report this week, the results are in on “Dancing With the Stars,” and it was Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Sasha Farber were were eliminated.

After last week’s unexpected non-elimination, the judges’ scores for the past two weeks were combined to help determine who would go home in Week 7. While some fans might have been expecting a double-elimination so “DWTS” could get back on schedule, that wasn’t the case.

Bill Engvall and Emma Slater were at the bottom of the leader board, with a combined total of 74 points. Polizzi and Farber tied with Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke for the second-lowest points total over the past two weeks with 84.

Sandy Victim On His Bittersweet Homecoming: ‘I’m One Of The Lucky Ones’

A year after Superstorm Sandy destroyed Pedro Correa’s neighborhood on the southeastern shore of Staten Island, he visited what used to be his home. Little remained of the one-story house that he had spent countless hours renovating himself. There was the concrete foundation, a purple tricycle lying on its back on the bottom of the in-ground swimming pool, and a tire swing still hanging from a tree.

All around, feathery blades of marsh grass rustled in the wind. For years, Correa and his neighbors had waged war with those weeds, cutting them back to keep their houses safe from wildfires. Now Correa sort of misses them. “To be honest, when I come here and I’m listening to what I’m listening to now, I still imagine living here,” he said. “I love it here.”
