Transformers Starscream Hoodie is Plotting Against Your Other Hoodies

A couple of weeks ago we checked out 80s Tees’ kick ass Voltron hoodie. It turns out the apparel shop also has something for Transformers fans. This officially licensed Starscream hoodie is based on the treacherous Decepticon’s design in the original Transformers cartoon.

As you can see the hoodie has wings that make it look like a wingsuit. But that doesn’t bother me; what bothers me is the canopy detail on the front of the hoodie. It will make skinny people look even thinner; just look at the dude in the pictures. I guess only robust people are worthy of wearing Starscream.

Practice your screechy voice and order the Starscream hoodie from 80s Tees for just $60 (USD).

Automatic Link review: an expensive way to learn better driving habits

We love when we find new ways to bring our toys together. The Automatic Link does just that: it connects your iPhone to your car’s computer, using Bluetooth Low Energy as a bridge to the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) interface that’s been standard in most cars since 1996. Coupled with a free app, you can log various stats from your road trips, including how aggressively you drove and how much gasoline your car consumed. Basically, it’s sort of like a quantified-self tracker, but for your vehicle. So, does this $100 driver’s assistant deliver? Let’s see.%Gallery-slideshow121856%

No books here: New Texas library is all digital

You’ll see plenty of screens, but zero books, in the Bexar County digital library in San Antonio, Texas.

With the holidays approaching and families arriving from out of town, it’s not always easy to find a little peace and quiet. It’s also increasingly difficult to find the kind of place that often provided that quiet: a good, old-fashioned library.

It’s not that libraries are going away. They’re just changing dramatically.

Walk into the Bexar County digital library in San Antonio, Texas, and you’ll see plenty of screens — but zero books. It doesn’t look like a library, and that’s the point.

BiblioTech, the only public bookless library in America, is the brainchild of Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.

Intel Reportedly Wants $500 Million For Its Internet TV Service

It has been known for quite some time now that Intel has been working on an internet based TV service which would be powered through a set-top box that would be built by the company itself. However Intel’s TV service has failed to take off and recently it has been rumored multiple times that the chip maker is looking to offload the entire project. The latest from Bloomberg News suggests that Intel is asking $500 million for the service and it looks to wrap up the sale by the end of this year, which isn’t that far off.

The report says that Intel had created set-top boxes during the time it was working on its internet TV project and that it also developed mobile applications for smartphones and tablets through which subscribers would have been able to stream content. It goes without saying that Intel did put in substantial resources in this project, one that it now looks to get off its hands. Verizon has been rumored to be interested in the project, which is headed by the Intel Media division. The latest report once again hints at Verizon as a possible buyer, Big Red can use the division to expand its footing in the TV reach beyond FiOS. Verizon and Intel are said to be in talks, but no official confirmation has materialized as yet.
