Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo Leaked

Alleged LG Lifetouch Band Photo LeakedAccording to the rumors, LG could be looking to launch new wearable products come 2014. One of them is allegedly a smartwatch but while LG has not confirmed such a device, they did state that wearable tech products were in the works. Apart from the rumored smartwatch, another rumored LG wearable tech product is said to be a fitness band of sorts, similar to that of the Nike FuelBand SE, Fitibt, or Jawbone Up, and thanks to a newly leaked photo by @evleaks, we could be getting our very first look at the upcoming LG fitness band which is allegedly known as the the LG Lifeband Touch. Based on what we can see, LG’s offering is looking similar to the FuelBand SE and looks to have some kind of display on the surface, either that or it’s just a really glossy material.

The features remain unknown but presumably it will offer the same features found on other fitness bands, such as step counting, distance run, calories burnt, and maybe even a heart rate monitor. It is also unclear as to whether this device will be a standalone device or if it will be like the Samsung Galaxy Gear which at the moment is only compatible with a handful of Samsung’s smartphones, somewhat limiting its use. In any case hopefully more will be known at CES 2014 which is taking place very soon, so do check back with us then for the details.

Login To Your Computer By Waving Your Hand

A 29-year old person from Vancouver has invented a chip that is placed in your hand that will store your computer passwords. This would be a convenient way to ensure that people don’t forget their passwords. Besides being able to store your passwords, it will be able to unlock your doors and I am sure many other things (maybe unlock your car or even start it). Things like this have been floating around for awhile, such as chips that will store a person’s identity or chips that keep credit card information. Many people don’t like the idea of this but this entrepreneur says that it only costs $2 for the chip and the devices that read the chip are as little as $50. Whose to say that thieves won’t cut off your hand in order to get access to everything then?

    LG Pocket Photo 2.0 launched

lg-pocketphotoLG, the South Korean consumer electronics giant, has just announced that they will be showcasing their LG Pocket Photo 2.0 over at CES 2014 that is kicking off in less than a fortnight’s time. This will be the second iteration of their original Pocket Photo device, where it will offer enhanced portability thanks to its form factor, letting you customize, print and share images regardless of where you are. Just what kind of connectivity options will the latest LG Pocket Photo 2.0 come with? It features wireless connectivity such as NFC and Bluetooth, allowing you to instantly print 2” x 3” photos from majority of the tablets and smartphones that are in use today. Not only that, it will also play nice with Android and iOS devices, which should cover a fair bit of ground – although Windows Phone and BlackBerry owners would miss out on the Pocket Photo boat.

Touted to be one of the smallest mobile photo printing devices on the market, this most recent version would have shaved off 4mm from its predecessor in terms of thickness, and yet it does not affect its performance at all. On the contrary, the LG Pocket Photo 2.0 would be able to print pictures rendered at a crystal clear 313dpi, which makes them perfect for sharing or displaying. You will first need to download and install the free Pocket Photo editing app though, so that you will be able to print right off the bat after connecting your smartphone or tablet to it sans wires.

LG has also gone the extra mile to introduce enhancements to the editing features in the accompanying Pocket Photo app, paving the way for you to experiment with an expanded range of customization options. There is a new set of filter effects thrown into the mix as well, in addition to a clever frame augmentation feature. Not only that, you can also opt to embed QR codes in photos, making it a convenient method to connect a physical photograph with an online community or an Internet-based content. ZINK’s inkless paper system will deal with the photo printing process, and a single full charge of the LG Pocket Photo 2.0 delivers up to 30 photo prints.

Ben Heck Mods Xbox One Controller For Single-handed Use

Ben Heck Mods Xbox One Controller For Single handed UseThe majority of gamers have full use of their limbs, but there are also those who are disabled which does not make them any less pro than most of us. Ben Heck knows that and has created controllers for the Xbox 360 in the past catered towards gamers with disabilities, and it looks like the master console modern is back with a new mod, this time in the form of the Xbox One’s controller which is catered towards gamers who might have lost their left hand and only have their right hand to game with. Well about those who lost their right hand? Well according to Heck, the right handed mod is currently the most popular request, although we’re not sure if Heck plans on making a left handed version later.

In any case element14 has teased the upcoming episode of The Ben Heck Show which airs this Friday with a couple of images that shows off the mod. Both the front and back of the Xbox One controller has been modified for gamers to play with one hand. For example the left trigger is placed on the back next to the battery (as pictured above), as well as introducing a spiked thumbstick that tells gamers which is up, down, left, or right. The controller will be donated to the Able Gamers Foundation which is a charity aimed at making video games more accessible to gamers with disabilities. We’re not too sure how this might work so we guess we will have to wait until Friday to get a better idea!

China Mobile Sees 100,000 iPhone Pre-orders In 2 Days

China Mobile Sees 100,000 iPhone Pre orders In 2 DaysAfter much negotiation and speculation, Apple and China Mobile have finally struck up a deal in which Apple’s iPhones would be officially offered on the carrier’s network. The deal with China Mobile would basically give Apple access to about 750 million subscribers and while Apple might not be able to get everyone to hop aboard the iPhone bandwagon, it has been estimated that Apple might be able to sell an additional 12 million iPhone units come 2014 and according to the latest reports, Apple is well on its way as China Mobile has managed to secure 100,000 iPhone pr-orders in a matter of 2 days. Granted this is a slightly smaller figure compared to China’s other carriers, such as China Unicom and China Telecom that have netted 120,000 and 150,000 pre-orders back in September, but we suppose given that the other two carriers have had a head start, perhaps the demand could be slightly less.

In any case these are just some early numbers and perhaps in the long run China Mobile might overtake the competition. Either way with China Mobile being one of the largest carriers in the world, the fact that Apple has managed to sign on nearly all of the major carriers in China is no small feat and will definitely help to boost iPhone sales in 2014. Will the next-gen iPhone see even more spectacular sales come 2014? We can only imagine that it will, but in the meantime it looks like Apple’s expansion into Asia is going ahead as planned and appears to be doing quite well to top things off.
