Marc R. of New York City submitted his idea for a folding watering can to Quirky.com earlier this year. His was among the lucky few that the website chooses to take on and create as a product. For many people who live in tiny homes or apartments the space-saving qualities could make it a best-seller. The designers at Quirky have been working hard to make Marc’s dream a reality.
Oppo might not be a household name in the West, but its certainly getting a lot of attention. Its the manufacturer that the folks at CyanogenMod teamed up with to launch the first ever CyanogenMod phone. Moreover, it was the first company to release a smartphone with a full HD display, the Oppo Find 5. There have been a lot of rumors this year about the Oppo Find 7 and while the device still hasn’t been announced, the company confirmed one aspect today that was the cause of much debate. Despite the moniker Oppo Find 7 does not have a 7 inch display. Instead, it will be the first smartphone to come with a 5.5 inch 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution display with translates to an impressive 538 pixels per inch.
Oppo confirmed the screen size through its Twitter account. It also mentioned that this device will have a 5.5 inch screen “with the feel of a 5″ screen device.” This could mean that the Oppo Find 7 will have very slim bezels, but so far no official image of this device has surfaced so far. The company has already confirmed that this smartphone will have 4G LTE connectivity, it is also rumored to tout a Qualcomm Snapdragon 804 processor, but that hasn’t been confirmed as yet. Oppo hasn’t revealed when it intends to officially announce the Find 7.

LG G3 Fingerprint Scanner Rumored
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt has only been a couple of months since LG launched its 2013 flagship smartphone, the LG G2. The device has received rave reviews, its design, specifications and superb camera performance have all been praised. While it may seem too soon for rumors about a successor to start circulating, the first LG G3 rumors have already started making the rounds. The latest rumor coming in from Korea claims that LG G3 will have a fingerprint scanner much like the iPhone 5S and the HTC One Max.
An Anonymous LG official is cited in the local media report as saying that the company recently made the decision to include a fingerprint scanner in the upcoming G3 smartphone, and that it is “conducting a series of tests for the product.” It is also claimed that this smartphone will be designed to sync with the Korean manufacturer’s G-Arch smartwatch and its upcoming fitness wristband. Other rumored specifications of the G3 include a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution display, a 16 megapixel rear camera and an octacore processor made by LG. It hasn’t been said when LG intends to release this device, but it is believed that the launch might take place earlier than anticipated due to “disappointing” sales of the LG G2. Perhaps the launch might take place at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in February, but for now, take all of this with a grain of salt.

Sony released its second generation smartwatch earlier this year, and despite the fact that wearable devices were significantly “in” this year, it didn’t exactly turn out to be a hit. It appears that the company isn’t giving on its wearable efforts any time soon. Recent FCC filing hints towards the possibility of Sony releasing another smartwatch early next year. The device mentioned in the filing is called a “BT Wrist Notifier” bearing model number SWR10, no images are included so its not known right now exactly what this gadget looks like.
The FCC has already approved Sony’s mystery SWR10 device, documents reveal that it has NFC and Bluetooth built-in, which will play a vital part in hooking up the smartwatch with a compatible device. Sony’s existing wearable gadget, the SmartWatch 2, was released earlier this year. It touts a waterproof design had a 1.6 inch 220×176 pixel resolution display. It is powered by Sony’s custom Android firmware. The next generation smartwatch from Sony is likely to build on these characteristics, but its obviously too soon to say right now if it will have better success in the market than its predecessor. Rumors suggest that the new smartwatch might be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 next month, but Sony itself is yet to confirm the existence of this wearable device.

How does one go about with making the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich? What about the perfect sundae or a banana split? These are presumably some of the most commonly consumed snacks and treats in the country, so most people really don’t need any directions on how to make them.
In case you find someone who doesn’t though, then you absolutely have to get them a set or two of these Food Blueprint Placemats. They keep the table clean and provide detailed diagrams and various views of these foods that will make putting them together a breeze.
They’re sold in sets of four and are priced at $20(USD) by Awkward Engineer.

On highway medians, atop old landfills, in backyards—these are some of the places a monarch butterfly revival could begin. The yearly migration of monarchs from the northern U.S. and Canada to the warmer environs of Mexico was once a spectacular sight, and a now a rare one. Their numbers have dwindled. There’s no single cause, but a major one is habitat loss.
Did Nikola Tesla actually work as a swimming instructor? What’s the deal with that famous photo of Albert Einstein and his therapist? Did they actually make radiation-aged bourbon back in the 1960s? Nope!
It was so, so tempting. Order by 8pm for guaranteed delivery by December 24th. It was December 23rd. I was desperate. Online shopping promised stuffed stockings for my last-minute lazy ass. And then, right when I needed it most, expedited shipping failed me. Delayed—expected on December 26th. Curse you, internet!
