Acer Has Plans For Wearable Technology This Year

acer-logo-large2014 could very well mark the year of wearable devices, and who knows? A smartwatch or a pair of smart glasses might just jolt an entirely new industry to mint money from. The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch has not exactly been, ahem, shifted to its maximum gear to date, and neither has other smartwatches from companies such as Sony and Pebble. Having said that, the market for wearable tech might just get a new player this year, with Acer of Taiwan plunging in headlong.

LG G2 Pro Could Arrive With 3GB RAM And Full HD Display

lg-logo-001-640x480The LG G2 Pro has been spoken of in the past before, where it could very well see the implementation of a fingerprint sensor. Details of this particular smartphone has remained scarce, although there has been reports going around that the LG G2 Pro will feature a display at 1,440 x 2,560 resolution, although the overall screen size remains debatable – is it 5.5” or 5.9”? Only time will tell, of course. Ah yes, and there is also that fingerprint sensor that might just make the cut considering this is going to be a high end handset, in addition to a possibility of a March release. Does this mean that we will be able to see an announcement for it at next month’s Mobile World Congress?

If you’ve ever wanted to take a spin around the “Top Gear” test track in the UK, but don’t qualify as a Star in a Reasonably Priced Car, now’s your chance. The famous airport-based track has just debuted on Google Street View.

An added bonus to the series of photos is that the Stig accompanies you along the way, starting off with a drag race from the starting line. Just look for the white Mercedes SLS AMG Black with the gull wing doors and the helmeted mystery man behind the wheel. The Street View Opel four-door doesn’t stand a chance.

If you’re not intimately familiar with the test track’s turns, it can be a little hard to stay on the proper path. Should you wander off, you’ll get a chance to see some of the “Top Gear” filming facilities and ogle the interesting cars parked there.
