When it comes to choosing a smartphone platform, there are definitely stereotypes involved and that’s definitely a debate for another time, but according to a recent study, which is sure to raise a few eyebrows and spark some intense arguments, it seems that iPhone users are found to be smarter compared to other brands and platforms. This is a study conducted by British betting company, Ladbrokes. The test involved about 1,000 respondees where they were first asked which smartphone were they using, followed by a series of questions involving problem solving, pattern recognition, and other brain teasers.
The results found that iPhone owners had the quickest wits and an average completion time of 94 seconds. Unfortunately it was found that BlackBerry users did the worst and were the slowest with a completion time of 118 seconds. Samsung users did slightly better with an average completion time of 103 seconds. Like we said this is a study bound to cause arguments and is pretty controversial, but it’s hardly a scientific study and as an Android user, I hardly found it to be offensive. One of the reasons the test should not be taken seriously is also because there is no penalty for wrong answers as users could simply keep clicking until they got the right one.
In any case it’s just a fun quiz that you can use to poke fun at your BlackBerry friends with, depending on which platform you are using, and should definitely not be taken seriously!

Bethesda and ZeniMax Online will be releasing The Elder Scrolls Online later this year. The game will be arriving in April for the PC and Mac, and will be making its way onto consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 later in June. In the meantime we’re sure some gamers are wondering just how much money does it take to create an MMORPG such as The Elder Scrolls Online? Well if you were curious and wanted a bit of trivia, how does $200 million sound to you? That’s the figure that was recently tweeted by Superannuation, a person who has in the past been pretty accurate with their leaks and information. Unfortunately the tweet has since been deleted and we’re not sure why. Could it be that it was accurate and that the studios did not want the figure to be disclosed, or could it be that Superannuation got it wrong and removed it?
As it stands it remains unknown but for such a game to cost $200 million to develop is not completely out of the question. After all games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic did cost around that much as well, and had a larger production staff, meaning that The Elder Scrolls Online could cost around that as well. In fact a while back we reported that a game such as Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 cost around $265 million, so what do you guys think? Is The Elder Scrolls Online a $200 million production, and with that being said, does that mean we can expect a lot from it?

If you’re a fan of television sets and if you were thinking about furnishing your home with a brand new TV, you’re in luck because according to LG, the South Korean tech giant plans on unveiling what they’re calling the most comprehensive OLED TV lineup on the planet come CES 2014, which is taking place later next week. During the exhibition, LG will be taking the opportunity to unveil a series of OLED televisions ranging in a variety of sizes, with the smallest being of the 55-inch variety, and the largest being a 77-inch curved Ultra HD display, all of which will feature LG’s WRGB OLED technology and 4K resolution.
Now we’re sure some of you guys are wondering with companies unveiling new televisions every year, doesn’t it get expensive to keep upgrading? Well fret not because LG is boasting that their TVs are future proof, meaning that they will be able to decode broadcast signals in both H.264 and HEVC H.265 formats, at either 30p or 60p. The 77-inch model will also run on LG’s latest smart TV platform, but as to whether that platform is the webOS one which we recently saw leaked remains to be seen.
The 55-inch model will come with LG’s Canvas Speaker which is a 2.2 channel, 100W forward-facing set of speakers, which LG is boasting that along with the display technology beneath it, will actually make a living room feel like an art gallery. This is thanks to features such as Gallery Mode that will turn the TV into a picture frame while displaying some of the world’s most famous pieces of art. Unfortunately pricing and availability were not mentioned, but we can only hope that LG has more information to share come CES 2014, so check back with us then for the details.

Is bigger necessarily better? When it comes to tablets, we have seen the trend go from tablets around the 10” size drop to the 7” variety. While 10” tablets aren’t exactly considered bulky, their 7” counterparts are a lot more mobile and portable, with devices like the Nexus 7, iPad mini, and Kindle Fire HDX doing quite well for themselves. However it looks like Samsung could be headed the opposite direction with their upcoming Galaxy Note Pro which is rumored to sport a 12.2” display, and thanks to recent AnTuTu benchmarks (discovered by the folks at SamMobile), the full specifications of the upcoming device has been revealed, which we guess would ultimately “confirm” its existence.
So what sort of specs are we looking at? According to the benchmarks, the Galaxy Note Pro will sport a 12.2” 2560×1600 display. It will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, and thankfully will run on the latest build of Android 4.4.2 KitKiat out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz/Nature UI on top of it. The tablet is also expected to feature the usual connectivity options, such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC.
No word on when Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note Pro, but some have speculated that it will be announced at MWC 2014 which will be taking place in February, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!
