Titanfall Could Be Dropping Its Resolution To 720p [Rumor]

Titanfall Could Be Dropping Its Resolution To 720p [Rumor]Titanfall is an upcoming FPS game that will be making its way onto Microsoft’s platforms like Windows and the Xbox. The release of the game is set for the 11th of March for the Xbox One and the bad news for Xbox One gamers is that the final resolution of the game will not be as high as you might think. According to a post on NeoGAF, a certain poster by the name of CBOAT (who has in the past been pretty reliable regarding Microsoft-related leaks) revealed that Titanfall for the Xbox One will only be released at 720p instead of 792p which was the original plan. No word on when Respawn Entertainment decided to drop the resolution towards the end, but for the less discerning gamer, we reckon it probably won’t matter too much.

However for gamers who are really picky about their graphics, perhaps you might notice some slight differences. It is actually quite surprising given that the beta of the game ran fine at 792p, so if we had to guess perhaps there were some last minute issues that might have forced Respawn Entertainment to drop it down to 720p. Either way we reckon gameplay will be more important than graphics. After all why bother with a game that looks good if it doesn’t play well, right? Either way we guess we will have to wait for the game’s release to see if the drop to 720p will make a huge impact. Anyone else disappointed by this?

HTC Thinks Galaxy S5 Owners Will Have Buyer’s Remorse

HTC Thinks Galaxy S5 Owners Will Have Buyers RemorseSo the Samsung Galaxy S5 was recently announced with relatively brand new hardware and a somewhat similar design to its predecessor. Those aren’t bad things since previous Galaxy S devices have been proven to be quite a hit, but what if you wanted something new and different? What if you were a little bit tired of the Galaxy S lineup? Well HTC seems to think that perhaps Galaxy S5 owners might soon start to feel a bit of buyer’s remorse come 25th of March. According to a recent tweet by HTC, the company posted the image above in which it reads that “Buyer’s remorse: Coming soon to S5 owners.” There is also a date at the bottom for the 25th of March which is when the HTC M8 will be officially revealed.

Now we should note that the Galaxy S5 will only be released in April, so we’re thinking that HTC might have jumped the gun here, but then again perhaps per-orders could begin in March so perhaps there might be some truth to HTC’s claims. With this tweet, we can also understand why HTC has decided to hold back on its launch and not do it at MWC. After all by taking a look at the competition, they will be more prepared in terms of marketing its upcoming handset, pointing out features that the competition might not. Nokia has done similarly poked fun at the Galaxy S5 in a tweet of their own. Will the HTC M8 be able to outdo the Samsung Galaxy S5 this year? We guess we will have to wait and see. In the meantime what do you guys think of HTC’s latest ad?

Apple Files Lawsuit Against China’s Patent Office And Chinese Company Over Siri

Apple Files Lawsuit Against Chinas Patent Office And Chinese Company Over SiriApple is no stranger to lawsuits especially in China where they have faced off against other Chinese companies in the past. However it looks like Apple will be taking things to the next level as the Cupertino company will not only be suing a Chinese company by the name of Zhizhen Network Technology, but they will also be going after China’s State Intellectual Property Office. The reason is over Apple’s Siri feature in which Apple and Zhizhen had a dispute over. For those unfamiliar, back in 2013 the Chinese company sued Apple over Siri, claiming that the software copied their technology which is found on their Xiao I Robot.

According to the patent filing, it would seem that is indeed the case as Zhizhen’s patent was filed in 2004, many years before Siri was even introduced to iOS. Apple had asked the patent office invalidate the patent to which they refused, which is why Apple has decided to include them in the mix in their lawsuit as well. A hearing of Zhizhen’s case was done back in July last year but no ruling was made, suggesting that it might be a while before we hearing anything. This new lawsuit will be heard on Thursday by the Beijing Number One Intermediate People’s Court. Will Apple prove successful even in the face of suing a government agency? We guess we will have to wait and find out.
