Snow Leopard Support Killed, 1 In 5 Macs Left Vulnerable

Snow Leopard Support Killed, 1 In 5 Macs Left Vulnerable

Mac OS X 10.6, better known as Snow Leopard, is almost four and a half years old. The last security update for this iteration was released back in September 2013. It was left out in the update released in December, as well as in the one released day before yesterday. Most recent OS X update brings fixes for OS X 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9, but leaves out Snow Leopard. While Apple doesn’t usually spell out support policies, it seems that the company has pretty much killed support for Snow Leopard.

Jean-Claude Van Damme Epic Split In Space

Ever since Jean-Claude Van Damme performed that epic split in a Volvo commercial, much has been said and done about it. Heck, even the amazing and unconquerable Chuck Norris himself has been caught performing an epic split on two jets. Well, a new parody sees the martial arts legend Jean-Claude Van Damme perform such a split in space. Excessive Gaming Could Result In Involuntary Actions

Excessive Gaming Could Result In Involuntary ActionsThey say that having too much of a good thing could be bad. Do you agree with that particular assessment? Apparently, there is a new research which was conducted to show that playing games (video games in this context) for long periods of time could end up in involuntary actions, which is the result of “automatic” impulses acted out. Apparently, there were some gamers who reported of involuntary movement of fingers and arms, with the possibility of verbal outbursts thrown into the mix. The scientists over at Nottingham Trent University’s International Gaming Research Unit worked with a bunch of respondents, of whom the latter claimed that they had experienced brief dissociations as well as felt sudden urges to perform in-game actions in selective bursts of time.

How a Mass Whale Graveyard Ended Up Beneath a South American Highway

Connecting Alaska to Argentina, the Pan-American Highway runs some 30,000 miles north to south. Construction to widen the highway briefly stopped, however, to make way for dead whales back in 2010, when workers digging through a remote stretch of the Chilean desert found a huge trove of bones millions of years old. Now, scientists think they have figured out how the extinct whales ended up on land in the first place.
