Your chance to voice a character in Dragon Age: Inquisition

Instead of just playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, how about being in it?

BioWare has taken to its blog to announce a competition with a difference: a chance to voice one of the characters in the highly anticipated fantasy role-playing game.

Entry is simple. Chose from one of two sample scripts and then show off your skills on YouTube. All BioWare wants “is for you to perform your preferred script in your lovely, natural speaking voice.”

Judging will be based on “the quality of the voice performance and how well it matches the style of Dragon Age.” Winners will be flown to the closest BioWare recording studio (Los Angeles, London, or Edmonton, Canada) to have their dulcet tones recorded for prosperity.

Entries opened Tuesday and run until 12:01 a.m. on March 24, with winners announced on April 14. The game is due out in the third quarter of this year.

U.S. House Passes Bill To Legalize Phone Unlocking

There has been much debate over whether or not mobile phone owners should be allowed to unlock their devices so that they can use them on any rival network. Major U.S. carriers lock subscribers’ phones bought through them to their own networks to stop them from using those phones on a rival network. Things might change soon though as the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a new bill that would allow mobile phone users to unlock their phones and use them on any other carrier.

    Mail Issues Persist On Mavericks Even After 10.9.2 Update

    Even though OS X Mavericks comes with a plethora of new features, one of the core features has been plagued with bugs since launch. The native Mail application has been the cause of many headaches and much criticism for Apple. Soon after Mavericks was released, Apple rolled out an incremental update in November last year to address the issues but that didn’t quite do that rick. While the company has been recommending temporary fixes, some thought that yesterday’s OS X update might finally fix Mail, but isn’t the case.

    China’s Oppo has been teasing its upcoming flagship smartphone for quite some time now, and it too has taken some time out to take a swing at the Samsung Galaxy S5. Soon after the flagship was unveiled, HTC mocked the lack of radical changes and conveyed to the world in a not so subtle manner to look out for its new smartphone, which will be unveiled on March 25th. Oppo has done something along the same line, releasing yet another Oppo Find 7 teaser, but one that takes an obvious swing at the Galaxy S5.
