Moto G Is Motorola’s Most Successful Smartphone Ever

Moto G Is Motorolas Most Successful Smartphone EverSometimes the saying “you get what you pay for” is true, and sometimes it doesn’t hold true. In fact there are times when you might even be pleasantly surprised, such is the case with the Moto G, a cheaper handset that was launched after the Moto X. Priced at $179, it came packed with relatively decent hardware, not to mention a near-stock Android experience, which is why we’re not surprised to learn that it has become a very popular device.

In fact according to Motorola during their MWC press dinner, the company’s senior vice president, Rick Osterloh, was quoted as saying, “The Moto G has been the most successful, highest-selling smartphone in Motorola’s history.” He goes on to state that despite the low price point, Motorola is making a profit on every unit sold and they expect that to continue even after the sale to Lenovo is complete.     Galaxy S5 Could Be Priced Lower Than The Galaxy S4 [Rumor]

    Galaxy S5 Could Be Priced Lower Than The Galaxy S4 [Rumor]So at MWC 2014, Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 and suggested that it would be seeing a release in April. Unfortunately Samsung did not mention anything about the phone’s price which isn’t too surprising given that there will probably be different prices for different markets, not to mention carriers will have their own prices too based on their subsidies.

    However thanks to a report from the Korean media, they are once again reiterating the rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be priced cheaper than the competition upon its launch. Heck, they even went as far as suggesting that the Galaxy S5 might even be priced even lower than the Galaxy S4 at launch back in 2013!  (more…)

    Samsung’s New Exynos Chipsets Will Support QHD Displays

    Samsungs New Exynos Chipsets Will Support QHD DisplaysPrior to MWC 2014, Samsung teased that they would be making an Exynos related announcement and while these aren’t the Exynos Infinity chipsets that was teased, Samsung did announced the Exynos 5422 and the Exynos 5260 chipsets. The former will be an octa-core chipset, while the latter will be a hexa-core chipset.

    So starting with the Exynos 5422, this is an octa-core chipset that will rely on the same big.LITTLE architecture that Samsung used with its Exynos chipsets that was announced back at CES 2013 last year. Th Exynos 5422 will feature four ARM Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 2.1GHz, and four smaller ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.5GHz. According to Samsung, the new chipset will be able to perform 34% better than its predecessor. (more…)
