I’ve long been a fan of V-Moda’s headphones. They’re well made, customizable with engraved plates and, most importantly, they sound great. If anything has stopped me from wearing the company’s over-ears consistently, though, it’s that they’re a tad…
The last time we saw professional cosplayer Peter Kokis, he was wearing his Crimson Typhoon costume. He reached out to us to share his latest creation, the Brooklyn Alien. Like his other costumes, this Xenomorph suit is made from various everyday objects.
Peter said some of the parts he used include “knife sharpeners, toilet plungers, drain mats and conduit tubing.” It took him about 16 months to gather the parts he needed and a total of 400 hours to put them together. The end result is this 120lb. recycled beast.
Hug your browser’s face and head to Peter’s website for more pictures of the Brooklyn Alien.

Back in 2013, there was talks that HTC could be unveiling an octa-core powered handset. Then it was earlier this year that an alleged photo of the handset was revealed. Safe to say that this device was not the recently announced HTC One M8 and according to the folks at PhoneArena who have managed to get their hands on photos, it is the HTC Desire 616.
According to them, the HTC Desire 616 will be a phone destined for the Chinese market and sure enough it will pack an octa-core chipset. Apparently octa-core chipsets are more popular in China, although we’re not sure why (we wonder if this might have to do with the number “8” which is considered auspicious in Chinese culture, versus the number “4”). Just yesterday HTC announced its latest handset in the form of the HTC One M8. What HTC did following the announcement was surprising because they announced that the phone would be going on sale right away. This is compared to the usual move by OEMs who typically make their phones available a couple of weeks/months after its announcement.
What this also means is that customers will be able to get their hands on the device early and do early reviews of the handset at the same time. Well if you were thinking about getting the HTC One M8 but you were a bit worried about whether it would be durable enough, several videos have been posted online in which the phone gets put through the ringer in a series of tests. We have been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series of tablets for a while now. In fact according to Samsung’s own website, the tablets were seemingly confirmed although Samsung has not officially announced anything yet. In fact Samsung was event expected to announce the devices at MWC 2014, but safe to say that did not happen.
Now apparently there are multiple Galaxy Tab 4 deivces in the works. They will come in a range of sizes: 7-inches, 8-inches, and a 10-inch model. Now thanks to a recent leak by @evleaks, a press rendering of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has been revaeled and based on what we can see, it essentially looks like a bigger version of the Galaxy S5. (more…)

In the 1980s, a Communist-era television tower was erected in Prague, ruining its picturesque skyline. Now you can stay at a hotel with a view that’s guaranteed not to include the tower, because it’s located inside the tower itself, perched 230 feet over the city.
