Ever wondered what made MS-DOS tick? Well, you can now answer that question for yourself thanks to the folks over at Microsoft who have managed to release the source code to the public for both MS-DOS as well as Word for Windows, making it a first from the software giant. We are talking about the original source code for MS DOS 1.1 and 2.0 and Word for Windows 1.1a here folks, which ought to bring back a flood of memories to the masses.

NVIDIA just announced a new monster graphics card: the Titan Z. It is a dual GPU Titan card that features 5760 cores, 12GB of memory and generates 8 TeraFLOPS of compute power – for $2999. That rounds the cost of each core to about 50 cents. This is rather excellent if you happen to be shopping for a supercomputer that you don’t need to build, and that can be used without special power requirements. 
At the GTC conference in San Jose, NVIDIA has officially introduced its next-generation architecture called Pascal (after scientist Blaise Pascal). Although it is “a couple of years away”, NVIDIA talked about a few new fundamental architecture changes that will take Pascal to the next level, when compared to its latest Maxell GPU architecture which was just launched recently on desktop and laptops.
