There are still a lot of users out there who are still using Windows XP. Microsoft has been trying very hard to get them to update. The company is going to kill support for one of its most popular iterations on April 8th. This means that Windows XP will no longer receive security updates or patches, customers’ devices will be vulnerable to threats. In a bid to get hold-outs to upgrade, Microsoft is offering a $100 discount on several Windows 8.1 devices through the Microsoft Store.

Some of my favorite games of all time are the original Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Now you can be reminded of these 16-bit SEGA classics every time you take a sip of your favorite beverage.
These Sonic pint glasses are made from an iridescent blue glass, and are embellished with pixelated images of Sonic, Tails, Dr. Robotnik (aka “Eggman”), and Knuckles.
So roll yourself up into a ball, and spin dash your way over to ThinkGeek, where the set of four will cost you $24.99(USD) – or approximately six Chaos Emeralds. Sonic the Hedgehog energy drink sold separately.

Motorola emerged once again as a strong competitor in the global mobile market with the launch of the Moto X and Moto G last year. Soon after both smartphones were launched, rumors started circulating that the company was also working on a 6.3-inch tablet. Apparently it would be called the Motorola Xplay. Rumors about the phablet have surfaced once again, with the latest claiming that Motorola is going to launch it in the third quarter of this year.

If your dream is to own at least a few hundred designer labels or so, then your search is over. And no, I’m not talking about some lottery where you’ll be able to afford all the brands that you want to own; rather, I’m talking about the Jeans Labels carpet.
As its name implies, the carpet is made entirely from recycled jeans’ labels. Each one is painstakingly sewn on top of another, and another, creating a carpet that looks like a patchwork of labels from brands you might recognize yourself.
Under the slogan “Recycle”, here renowned denim label were assembled in the patch-style to a beautifully finished carpet with high stability and durability. What was discarded in Western industrialized nations, awakened by the diversity of creativity back to life.
The Jeans Carpet is available in two sizes: 140x200cm and 160x240cm. They’re priced at £335 (~$560 USD) and £458 (~$760 USD) respectively.

Jensen Harris, who is working on the Office 2007 interface, has said that Microsoft will be offering Office 2007 Beta 2 TR (Technical Refresh) tomorrow for users to download. Here is the nice list of improvements, since Beta 2, that he provides:
- Improved support for the minimized Ribbon
- Visual redesign of the “Northwest” corner of the programs
- Double-click the Office Button to close the window
- Silver color scheme
- Redesign of the PowerPoint Home tab
- Improvements to default styles for all objects (pictures, tables, charts, SmartArt, headers, footers, etc.)
- Quick Customize Menu
- New product icons
- Usability improvements to the Office menu
- Send button in the form in Outlook
- Over 1000 changes (most minor) to the content of the Ribbon
All of those links above direct you to Jensen’s blog because he does a really great job explaining each new feature. The new Quick Customize Menu (pictured above) has been changed around so that it has some of the most popular options in it, as well as the new “Minimize the Ribbon” feature.
The other cool thing that I really like is the ability to transform images into something that looks a little more professional:
I thought it was funny to see the “Web 2.0″ style located in the bottom-right corner. I think this is really great because there are so many people that I know who want to make their pictures look cool, but they have a hard enough time sending an email. They will now be able to transform their images into something that would amaze a lot of people with just a single click.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this tomorrow! This will be the site to watch for the download so if anyone notices a change before I do please shoot me a tip.
Note: BetaNews is reporting that Microsoft will charge $1.50 for the download unless you have previously downloaded Office Beta 2. They also say that you’ll have to uninstall Beta 2 in order to install the Technical Refresh.

Its no secret that it took a long time for iOS 7.0 to be jailbroken. The first untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.x was released by the evad3rs team, the exploit that their jailbreak used was patched by Apple in its latest firmware update, iOS 7.1. There is really no predicting when iOS 7.1 will be jailbroken, particularly for newer devices, but people still using legacy devices might be in luck. A developer has shown off iOS 7.1 untethered jailbreak on video, but it may not be compatible with all devices.

Twitter #Music Bites The Dust
Posted in: Today's ChiliTwitter #Music has been around for over a year. It never really took off after its launch, which came as a result of We Are Hunted’s acquisition by Twitter back in 2012. The team behind We Are Hunted built Twitter #Music as a service that provide users with an entirely new method for music discovery, based on what music and artists were generating the most buzz on Twitter. Active development on the iOS app has been halted for months, and today it was officially announced that Twitter #Music will no longer be available on the App Store.
