Sony PS4 Could Get Pre-Loading Feature In The Future

Sony PS4 Could Get Pre Loading Feature In The FutureIf there is an upside to PC gaming is that lately, developers have started to allow gamers to pre-load games before the game has even been released. What this means is that gamers will be able to download and install most of the game so that when the game is officially released, all they’d have to do is hit play and they’re good to go.

In fact Titanfall is one of the more recent PC games that could be pre-loaded, thus saving gamers from having to download the 20+GB file on the day itself. Unfortunately pre-loading for consoles isn’t exactly a thing yet, but it could be soon, thanks to a tweet by inFAMOUS: Second Son’s developer, Sucker Punch. (more…)

Oculus Rift Welcomes Sony’s Project Morpheus With Open Arms

Oculus Rift Welcomes Sonys Project Morpheus With Open ArmsDuring GDC 2014, Sony took the wraps off their own virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus. That being said, it certainly looks like a rivalry has been created.

However the folks at Oculus Rift have been in it a bit longer than Sony, at least as far as VR gaming is concerned. On the other hand, Sony has the experience and the resources to help make up for the lost time, so how does Oculus Rift feel about Sony entering into the fray? (more…)

Microsoft Not Fazed By PlayStation 4′s Lead Over The Xbox One

Microsoft Not Fazed By PlayStation 4s Lead Over The Xbox OneBy all accounts it would seem as though Sony’s PlayStation 4 is currently doing a much better job at selling units compared to the Microsoft Xbox One. We’re not just talking about one market though: in the UK it was reported that the PS4 was leading the way along with Australia where the PS4 was outselling the Xbox One.

In fact last we checked, the Sony PlayStation 4 managed to sell over 6 million units to date, while the Xbox One managed around 3 million units, although this is based on figures from January. Basically for now, it looks like the PS4 is trumping the Xbox One (although recent reports suggest that the Xbox One could be closing in), but at the same time Microsoft does not appear to be too fazed by it. In fact game designer Peter Molyneux thinks that Nintendo is a company that shouldn’t be underestimated, according to a recent interview with IGN. (more…)

Turkey Lays Down The Banhammer On Twitter

Turkey Lays Down The Banhammer On TwitterThere are places in the world where social media is not allowed. Countries like China have banned “foreign” social media from the country, instead opting to create localized alternatives which have turned out to be just as popular amongst its citizens.

However in Turkey, no local alternative is offered. Instead a recent statement by the country’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan revealed his plans to eradicate Twitter from the country. Speaking in a rally in Bursa, Erdoğan was quoted as saying, “We will eradicate Twitter. I don’t care what the international community says. Everyone will witness the power of the Turkish Republic.” (more…)
