First Apple Reseller Throws In The Towel After 37 Years

Apple wasn’t always the behemoth that it is today. Just like any other company, it too has humble beginnings. Consisting of only a few employees back then, the company had to convince investors to take a chance on it, it had to convince computers shops to sell its products. One of the first companies to do so was Minneapolis based Team Electronics, which later changed its name to FirstTech. It shipped the first batch of Apple computers in the late 1970′s, and holds the distinction of being the first Apple reseller in the world. After 37 years of selling Apple’s products, its closing shop for good.

The Tidy Dog Toy Box will teach your dog to pick up after themselves

    Tidy Dog
Having a dog is like living with a perpetual child. They’re always full of energy, trying to find new ways to get in trouble, and leave messes behind where they’ve played. If you’re working with your pooch to improve their behavior, there’s a good chance you’re going to have to go through a few treats to do it.

The Tidy Dog Toy Box will let you teach your pup that putting their toys away after they play is a good thing. This box has a delicate motion sensor that will know when your dog is putting things away, and pops out a few snacks for a job well done. Even if your pup is a bit sneaky, this box was designed to handle some of their tricks. The first prototype was based off of a motion sensor candy dispenser next to a toy box, and has developed into more of a precise machine.

Your pooch won’t be able to trick this into handing out more treats very easily, as it has load cells that can detect even the slightest of vibrations which have to sense absolutely no movement for 30 seconds before it will pass out a treat. That means sitting in the box (as it can even detect breathing) or putting several toys in one after another won’t do anything. If you’re interested in this training method, then this toy box will cost you around $69-99. There is an on/off switch, so you can also train them to learn when play time or cleanup  begins and ends.

    Available for crowdfunding on Kickstarter

Watch a Mad Scientist Build and Ride a 128-Degree Heated Snowboard

It’s easy to forget on the slopes, but your speed depends on the thin film of water created by your snowboard (or skis). So it follows that more heat below your feet would mean more speed, right? Signal Snowboards’s Dave Lee just built a heated snow board to find out.

Kaffe qif qiya! Finally, a course to help kids learn Dothraki

Completely appropriate for children, the Muzzy Dothraki language program will have your kids running their own khalasar in no time!

Hey kids! Have you ever wanted to learn how to say “I will dance in your blood?” in the Dothraki language made popular on “Game of Thrones”? Parents, do you want to arm your kids with vital language skills in a world that’s increasingly being taken over by strange terms like “Valyrian steel,” and “mother of dragons?” If so, video-spoof-making team Nacho Punch has got just the thing for you.

Their latest YouTube parody takes a 1990s commercial for a video set that teaches kids to learn a foreign language by following along with the slightly creepy character “Muzzy,” and melds it with the fantasy world of “Game of Thrones.”

“With this unique language course,” the video says, “humans, giants and even bastards can learn a second language with incredible ease.” The course isn’t just for wannabe Dothraki speakers either. It also offers lessons in Valyrian, Hodor and White Walker.
