The Kanex Multi-Sync Keyboard will play nice with every device

img_keyboard_application
Can you think of how many different texts, emails, and comments you write in a day? It seems like an endless amount, but it is spread across your phone, tablet, and computer. Of course, when you’re sitting at your desk, you use all three almost simultaneously. Instead of bringing up a keyboard and making it harder to see what you’re writing due to screen size limitations, why not use your computer keyboard for everything?

The Kanex Multi-Sync Keyboard will allow you to type on any three devices you choose with the same keyboard. All it takes is a press of a button, and you will switch from one Bluetooth device to another. In style and function, this was meant to be paired with Apple devices. It will still work with Windows or Android, but some of the hotkeys or shortcuts might not be of use.

This can also be paired with your Xbox360, but only in USB mode. This will cost you around $70, and sadly works primarily on AAA batteries. It does come with a stand that will accommodate either an iPhone or iPad. This is great for multi-taskers who want to keep things organized and seamless. There is a number pad, volume, brightness, play, and pause buttons for you to adjust things exactly as you like it. As this is wireless, it’s also great for those who enjoy having a keyboard for on-the-go situations.

Where should CNET Road Trip go in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas?

America's so-called Doomsday plane, which can keep top military leaders airborne in the event of a major crisis.

The days are warm and sunny here in Northern California, and though it’s only the middle of March, it already feels like summer is just around the corner.

One reason is that I’ve started the planning in earnest for Road Trip 2014, my ninth-annual journey to highlight some of the best destinations around for technology, military, aviation, architecture, science, nature, and so on.

You Could Learn Art History From These Amazing Manicures

These nails are sporting an unmistakable dose of Basquiat with a smattering of Warhol. It’s not a rendering—it’s real, hand-painted nail art, taken from Nail Art History, a brand new Tumblr that showcases some very impressive manicures based rather accurately on real works of modern art.

The funny faces of professional skiers when they're racing down a slope

The funny faces of professional skiers when they're racing down a slope

This video is awesome for two reasons. One, because it’s awesome to see three-time International Ski Federation overall World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher going down a hill in such detail. The other one: It shows he’s human. I thought these guys were like Batman, but just look at his face.

iOS 7.1 Personal Hotspot Feature Tweaked To Keep Abusers Out

iOS 7.1 Personal Hotspot Feature Tweaked To Keep Abusers Out

iOS 7.1 is the first major update that Apple has rolled out for iOS 7 ever since the firmware was released late last year. It brought several visual enhancements, improvements and fixes. While it seems to have made things better for users, people who used or rather abused the Personal Hotspot feature on iOS 7 have been seriously inconvenienced by the update. iOS 7.1 takes away the ability to manually edit tethering settings for unauthorized carriers, users will no longer be able to create a Personal Hotspot if their carrier doesn’t support it.

This Restaurant is Made from Cardboard

Concept restaurants aren’t anything new, with the more notable ones being the Modern Toilet Restaurant and the Hospitalis hospital-themed diner. However, Carton King brings something entirely new to the table: cardboard.

Carton King 620x413Housed at the Carton King Creativity Park, everything at the restaurant is made from cardboard packaging material – well, everything except the food, that is. This includes the resto’s tables, chairs, booth walls, tissue holders, signage, bowls, and even the cup holders that hold the paper cups! If anything is damaged, they can simply replace the part with another piece of cardboard, and recycle the damaged piece.

The place was thought up by Huang Fang-liang, who’s the founder of Chin Tang Paperware. He explains the concept simply, saying: “It’s to say that after using something, you can use it again.”

    Carton King2 300x250
    Carton King3 300x250
    Carton King5 300x250
    Carton King6 300x250
    Carton King7 300x250
    Carton King8 300x250
    Carton King9 300x250
    Carton King9a 300x250

The coolest part is that the park features a gallery of some of the world’s most well-known landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pizza, as well as a “zoo” of sorts that features (you guessed it!) cardboard animals.

As for another advantage of all-carton tableware aside from the recyclable factor: No breakage if you knock anything over. But as for fires, spills, or when the water sprinklers go off – well, that’s another story.
