Amazon Set Top Box Rumored For Early April Launch

Amazon Set Top Box Rumored For Early April LaunchWord on the street has it that Amazon could be planning a set top box of their own which would compete against devices like Roku and Apple TV. Given that Amazon currently offers video content, we guess it would not be a complete stretch of the imagination to think that they might release a product dedicated to it, right?

Well according to a recent report by The Wall Street Journal, they are claiming that come first week of April, we can expect to hear an announcement by Amazon. Considering that we’re already in the third week of March, it seems that we won’t have to wait much longer to see if the rumors pan out. (more…)

In the video above, Shaun O’Callaghan, the drone’s operator, flies a drone into the middle of an active volcano in the country of Vanuatu, which is about a two-hour flight from Australia. The drone that was used is a DJI Phantom 2 RTF quadcopter which was attached with a GoPro camera. (more…)

OK, Glass, have an NBA player dunk in my face

Sacramento Kings guard Ray McCollum slams home a dunk during a scrimmage while wearing Google Glass.

    (Credit: James Martin/CNET)

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–“This is the real Google,” taunted Sacramento Kings guard Orlando Johnson.

Johnson leaned in, dribbling a basketball, ready to explode to the hoop. Only teammates Ray McCallum and Jason Thompson stood in the way. Through the Google Glass I was wearing, I watched Thompson prepare to stop Johnson. From Thompson’s exact point of view.

Johnson, McCallum, and Thompson were wearing Google Glass as part of a new program the Kings have started that is designed to let fans see things like shootarounds, pre-game worko… [Read more]
