The studio behind Xbox One launch title Killer Instinct, Double Helix Games, was acquired last month by Amazon. Microsoft Studios, the publisher, has now brought a new developer onboard to pick up where Double Helix Games left off. Killer Instinct’s new developer is Iron Galaxy Studios of Divekick fame. The developer’s CEO Dave Lang says that this project is probably the “biggest thing we’ve ever done.” It was also behind Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, released back in 2011.

Good news for Galaxy Note 3 owners on AT&T. The carrier has finally started rolling out the KitKat update for this popular phablet. AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 update should automatically show up on subscribers’ devices. Since the roll out is done in stages, it may take some time before it becomes available for anyone. Though it shouldn’t take more than a few days for the roll out to be complete.

Anything LG does, Samsung wants to do better – and vice versa. This bodes well for the masses, of course, since it would mean that both companies would do their utmost best to make life better for everyone as healthy competition exists between the two. LG recently introduced their Smart Bulb, and over at Light + Building 2014, it is Samsung’s turn to debut their own version of the LED Smart Bulb at the world’s leading trade fair for architecture and technology.

When you look at things objectively, you would realize that $150 million is pittance compared to $2 billion, although having the former amount would be more than enough for any family to live out a comfortable lifestyle for generations without being ostentatious in their spending, of course. Well, Facebook might have coughed up $2 billion for Oculus VR, but there is a new report making its rounds that Microsoft too, does not want to drop out of the wearable computing race by forking out $150 million to purchase certain assets from the Osterhout Design Group (OSG).
