Warlords Of Draenor Might Not Require You To Upgrade Your Computer

Warlords Of Draenor Might Not Require You To Upgrade Your ComputerBlizzard’s upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, is expected to see a release later this year, although no specific dates have been mentioned. The expansion will introduce a host of new changes and features made to the game, most noticeably an upgrade to the character models which will see new textures and animations.

We also expect that Blizzard will also be upgrading some of the graphics used in the new zones and perhaps updating some older ones as well, so with that being said, does this mean that gamers will need to upgrade their computers in order to play the game? Blizzard has yet to officially announce the system requirements for Warlords of Draneor, but according to a post on the World of Warcraft forums, a community manager has some answers for some worried gamers.

When asked if the new models cause a further dip in FPS, the community manager admits that this might require more processing power, however he also adds, “We are also applying a squish to anything related to stats; this means that in certain situations, there might be some performance improvements, especially when it comes to addons that process combat data. More importantly, we are reducing the amount of visual clutter that currently fills every fight where a lot of players are involved. Less sparkly stuff flying around means better video performance for everyone.”

Also when asked if a new computer upgrade should be done, he states that he expects the game to remain close to what gamers are experiencing now, so if you’re fine with the way the game is at the moment, you probably won’t need an upgrade. “I’d say that you shouldn’t be worried about any big drop in performance; things will most likely remain very close to what you are experiencing right now. So if you’re satisfied with what you have right now, then there shouldn’t be any need to change anything.”

It’s admittedly a little vague but until Blizzard officially reveals the hardware system requirements for the game, this is all we have to go on for now. In the meantime any gamers planning on upgrading their computer to play Warlords at Draenor at its max settings with silky smooth frame rates?

Samsung Shows Off Curved Batteries Used In The Gear Fit

Samsung Shows Off Curved Batteries Used In The Gear FitGiven the fact that the Samsung Gear Fit sports a slightly curved design, we can only assume that it also uses a curved battery. After all regular batteries might be too stiff and inflexible to be used in such a design, and recently Samsung has confirmed it as you can see in the image above.

This is according to Samsung SDI, a division of Samsung that specializes in creating displays and batteries. The battery revealed was created using V-bending and cell-stacking technology, and according to the company, the result is a curved battery that is a battery with 210 milliamp-hours that is apparently five times longer than existing wearable batteries.

At the moment the battery shown off is being used by the Gear Fit, although we’re pretty sure now that Samsung has a decently sized curved battery, we can expect to see it make its way into future curved products as well. Samsung did not mention if they were planning on mass producing these batteries for sale to other manufacturers.

In fact one of the challenges of making a curved/flexible smartphone is not only creating a flexible display, which both Samsung and LG have managed to do, but also create components that are similarly flexible as well. After all what use is a flexible smartphone if it won’t bend/flex because its components are too rigid, right?

Why The Original Patriots Would’ve Revolted Against Surveillance

Let’s just imagine we could transport an Internet-connected laptop back to the 1790s, when the United States was in its infancy. The technology would no doubt knock the founders out of their buckle-top boots, but once the original patriots got over the initial shock and novelty (and clearing up Wikipedia controversies, hosting an AMA and boggling over Dogecoin), the sense of marvel would give way to alarm as they realized how electronic communications could be exploited by a tyrant, such as the one from which they just freed themselves.
