HTC One M8′s Dual-Lens Setup Draws Interest From Huawei And Lenovo [Rumor]

HTC One M8s Dual Lens Setup Draws Interest From Huawei And Lenovo [Rumor]It wasn’t too long ago that HTC officially released the HTC One M8 and one of the device’s more unique selling points, apart from its aluminum build and BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers, is the fact that it comes with an Ultrapixel sensor and a dual-lens setup. For those unfamiliar, this setup allows users to edit the focus of their photos even after snapping them, much like the Lytro camera.

However while the feature is pretty novel and interesting, our review found that the camera’s images weren’t exactly up to scratch when blown up. Perhaps on a smaller screen and for web use it’s great, but if you wanted to print them or perhaps use it as a wallpaper, that’s when some of the flaws of the camera can be seen. (more…)

What a creationist version of the Cosmos would look like

What a creationist version of the Cosmos would look like

Funny or Die pokes fun of those who like listening to stories over understanding science in its latest: Creationist Cosmos. It’s like the new Neil DeGrasse Tyson Cosmos reboot TV show only made for Creationists. So instead of explanations about the universe, we get very unscientific reasons of why things exist. It’s all in silly fun.

Apple Participates In Smartphone Anti-Theft Voluntary Program

Apple Participates In Smartphone Anti Theft Voluntary ProgramSmartphone theft is on the rise and lawmakers are doing whatever they can to help discourage thieves from stealing more smartphones. This has resulted in certain lawmakers pushing for carrier and smartphone manufacturers to equip their phones with kill switches, thus ultimately rendering the phone useless if a theft were to occur, which in turn would hopefully discourage thieves.

While we’ve yet to see the widespread adoption of the kill switch (it has been proposed in the state of California), Apple has recently decided to throw its name behind a new initiative along with a handful of other Android OEMs that basically see smartphones manufactured after 2015 include a series of anti-theft features. BlackBerry And NantHealth Team Up For Healthcare-Specific Smartphone

BlackBerry And NantHealth Team Up For Healthcare Specific SmartphoneWe’ve heard of smartphones designed for security purposes, but what about smartphones designed for professionals in the healthcare industry? Is there even such a thing? Wouldn’t such a device be more focused on apps instead? Well according to the reports, it seems that jumping into healthcare could be one of the avenues that BlackBerry is exploring.

Man does spectacular trick shot through moonroof while driving a car

David Kalb can bounce two basketballs through a moonroof while driving a car, which to me is more awesome than scoring a three-pointer while driving the same car, but whatever. I guess that people love the scoring more than the bouncing.

    Lenovo FLEX 2 Laptops Announced

Lenovo FLEX 2 Laptops AnnouncedLenovo has recently announced that they have added two new computers to their FLEX lineup in the form of the FLEX 2. The FLEX 2 laptops will come in two different sizes, a 14-inch display ora 15.6-inch display, but apart from the difference in display sizes, both laptops are expected to feature the same hardware internally.

So what makes Lenovo’s FLEX 2 laptops so unique? Well as the name would suggest, the laptops are flexible, sort of. The display can be tilted all the way around at a 300 degree angle, meaning that it sort of acts like a tablet on a stand, and thanks to its touchscreen display and Windows 8.1, we guess it sort of is like a tablet.
