More Alleged iPhone 6 Molds Surface, Hints At 4.7-inch Display

More Alleged iPhone 6 Molds Surface, Hints At 4.7 inch DisplayJust yesterday thanks to recently leaked photos, we caught a glimpse of certain production tools and schematics that are reportedly for the iPhone 6. Well thanks to a recent photo posted by French website, Nowhereelse.fr, another photo of the mold for the iPhone 6 has made an appearance, this time with a comparison photo of the iPhone 4/4S beside it to give it some perspectively.

The website went ahead and even photoshopped the front display panel of the iPhone 5s onto the mold itself and found that based on their calculations and estimations, the mold could potentially be used to product iPhones that would sport a display size of 4.7-inches, thus corroborating the rumor.

However the website does point out that the mold is recessed and that they found that if the recessed portion of the mold is to be used, it apparently lines up perfectly with the dimensions of the iPhone 5/5s, so there is a chance that this isn’t the iPhone 6, but one used for the iPhone 5/5s.

They also note that there are holds at the bottom of the mold which apparently could be used to attach something else to it that would allow the wider part of the mold to be used which in turn would have resulted in a 4.7-inch iPhone. It all sounds very speculative so take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully additional details will surface at a later date that will either corroborate or debunk the rumors.

BlackBerry Pushing For Immediate Ban Of Typo Keyboard Sales

BlackBerry Pushing For Immediate Ban Of Typo Keyboard SalesEarlier this year, BlackBerry filed a lawsuit against Typo over the design of the latter’s keyboard accessory for the iPhone. It’s easy to see why, after all while there are plenty of keyboard cases for the iPhone, none of them comes this close to resembling the keyboard design used for BlackBerry handsets.

Thanks to an initial ruling, BlackBerry managed to obtain an injunction against Typo which would call for the accessory manufacturer to cease sales of the offending product. However there is a caveat which is that BlackBerry needs to post a bond by this Friday if they want the injunction to go into effect. (more…)

Microsoft Is “Done” With The Scroogled Campaign

Microsoft Is Done With The Scroogled CampaignMicrosoft’s Scroogled campaign is one of the marketing tactics that Microsoft has employed in the past to make Google look bad, and to make themselves look better by comparison. The Scroogled videos do not hold back and point out every flaw and weakness that Microsoft believes is present in Google’s products and services, like Chromebooks, Gmail, and even went as far as selling Scroogled clothing and accessories.

However could it be that Microsoft has had enough and has decided to put things to an end? We heard back in 2013 how that was a possibility and in a recent report on ZDNet, it seems like the Scroogled campaign has indeed come to a close. (more…)
