It was in the middle of last year that we brought you word where China is considering to lift a 13-year old ban on the sales of game consoles, before the ban was lifted temporarily in that part of the world in January this year. Well, that temporary lift had to wait for rules and regulations to play catch up, where companies which want to sell such game consoles in the country will have to adhere to. It is nice to know then, that the gamut of rules have just been released, which officially signals the green light that game consoles can be sold freely in China at long last.
Of course, things are never all that straightforward in life, as we have not heard from any of the three major console manufacturers, namely Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, reveal their future plans to tackle the China market. It is a potentially lucrative market to tap into, especially when we are talking about the world’s most populous country in addition to many cities there experiencing boom times unlike during any other era.
It seems that Nintendo’s stock price has been affected from this development, while Microsoft has entered into an Xbox-related joint venture with unannounced plans. Sony, for their part, has formed a new “China Strategy Department” that will hopefully eventually sell its products in that part of the world.

When you have a game that is called Monster Hunter, then you would definitely anticipate there to be plenty of blood shed as you start to drop monsters one by one, as though they were like flies, and you are the efficient fly swatter. Well, we are glad to say that Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter 4G trailer sheds off all pretense, where this trailer depicts plenty of monster killing that will hopefully satiate your appetite to purchase the game when it finally arrives.
Do bear in mind that this particular trailer is technically meant for the Japanese release, and the entire gamut of footage consists of loud music and roaring, and I suppose Godzilla’s roar does not need to be in Japanese or English – it should be able to transcend all language barriers.
In the latest trailer, it depicts a desert environment that comes complete with plenty of sand and an oasis that pops up once in a while. Other than ancient ruins and caves that bake in the oppressive desert heat, you will have to be on the lookout for monsters who are licking their chops, hoping to get a piece of you. Monster Hunter 4G is actually a remastered version of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate that rolled out in fall last year for the Nintendo 3DS.

In the latest English trailer, you will be able to check out some of the sleek moves delivered by Elena, Rolento, Poison, Hugo, and Decabre, opening up a whole new world of pain to your opponent. Apart from that, there is also half a dozen arenas located across the world, waiting for players to start some bone crunching and back bustin’ moves.
Elena would go after her enemies with choreographed skills and talent, while Rolento the soldier is adept with his baton and collection of explosives. Mistress Poison uses her whip to great effect, while Hugo, the giant wrestler ought to give Zangief run for his money. Decabre relies on speed and stealth to strike fellow fighters. There is no exact release date for Ultimate Street Fighter IV just yet, but Ultimate Street Fighter IV is set to hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 from June onward, while PC gamers will have to wait until August.

“Going gold” is a term that has been used in the past to indicate how a particular piece of software, or game, is ready to be shipped to the masses after being prepped for release. Well, it seems that releasing hardware in this particular shade, too, is something that companies see as worth the effort, considering how folks tend to flock to gold-plated or gold colored devices like a moth to a flame. The LG G Watch looks set to be the latest piece of technology that will feature a shade of champagne gold, being one of the first members in the Android Wear club.
To date, however, it remains to be seen just exactly when will the LG G Watch roll out to the masses, apart from the “summer” timeline that everyone and their aunt knows. As for its pricing details, so far the unofficial figure that has been bandied around would hover at the $300 mark, which is pretty expensive actually when you consider how there are other timepieces out there which will cost a whole lot less. Of course, these would basically just tell the time and nothing more, but then again, the smartwatch market is largely untested until now.

When you roll out a successful device that comes jam packed with the latest and greatest hardware, such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 (as you can see above), does it make sense then to begin tweaking on this particular template so that a variant, or variants, will be released? The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime has been seen on a shipping manifest in India which is yet another rather strong hint of the upcoming smartphone’s reveal. This particular manifest that leaked out the information did not reveal anything more other than the model number SM-G906K, and it seems to be on its way to India from South Korea “R&D Purpose”, with Samsung shipping three of these devices in total.
Of course, it takes perfect sense to see this with a pinch of salt, since anyone can come up with a leak, and such a document is not that difficult to forge. Records are meant to be broken, although those Manchester United fans must be desperate for ‘The Chosen One’ to stop breaking new records for the football club – in the opposite direction, of course. Teams that have not won since before I was born have picked up victories at Old Trafford, and the four more games that they still have left to play in the remainder of the season does seem to be too much to bear. The Vivo XShot, thankfully, has broken a record in the right direction – by surpassing the 40,000 mark in the AnTuTu benchmark, being the first smartphone to do so.
Of course, this does not mean that no other smartphones managed to come near the XShot in reality, as the OnePlus One was the most recent model that hit the 38,000 mark. As for the Vivo XShot, it picked up a whopping 40,023 on the site, which means that it also edged out on other market rivals including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
We do know that the Vivo XShot will arrive with a 24MP camera at the back of the handset, and this does seem to be a flagship smartphone that is worth well your time to check out.

Most of us would like to think that when it comes to research think tanks, cost is not an issue. Actually, it is, and scientists would love to have unlimited funding, but that is not the way the world works. You’re given a bunch of money, have a deadline, and will need to produce the necessary goods on time. The United States military’s advanced research arm, known as Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), is currently developing a foldable space telescope which could image Earth in high resolution detail without breaking the bank.
This particular telescope design is known as the Membrane Optical Imager for Real-Time Exploitation, or MOIRE for short, where it would come in handy where geosynchronous Earth orbit is concerned, being a place 22,000 miles above where majority of the telecommunications satellites reside.
Lt. Col. Larry Gunn, MOIRE program manager, shared, “Membrane optics could enable us to fit much larger, higher-resolution telescopes in smaller and lighter packages. In that respect, we’re ‘breaking the glass ceiling’ that traditional materials impose on optics design. We’re hoping our research could also help greatly reduce overall costs and enable more timely deployment using smaller, less expensive launch vehicles.” Will we be able to peer in to the lives of ordinary folks even more effectively soon?
