Call Of Duty: Ghosts Devastation DLC For PlayStation And Windows Launches May 8th

It has been confirmed today that Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation DLC will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Windows on May 8th. Devastation is the second of four DLC packs planned for Call of Duty: Ghosts in 2014. The DLC will deliver four small to medium sized multiplayer maps as well as the new tactical 2-in-1 “Ripper” SMG/Assault Rifle and Episode 2: Mayday. It is the next part in Extinction’s four part episodic narrative.

New multiplayer maps in the Devastation DLC include a multi-level Mayan temple that’s suited for long-range weapons, mangled remains of a cargo ship crashed into a New York City Bridge, a massive excavation platform in South America that has long sight lines perfect for long-range weapons and a reimagined version of Dome from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The maps are called Ruins, Collision, Behemoth and Unearthed respectively.

The DLC also arms players with a new 2-in-1 “Ripper” SMG/Assault rifle. Billed as a “perfect complement” to the new multiplayer maps, it provides two different configurations, medium to short range as SMG and medium to long-range as an Assault rifle. Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation DLC will be available for $14.99 come May 8th, or as part of the CoD Ghosts DLC Season Pass. Instant access to the “Ripper” weapon is available exclusively for DLC Season Pass holders, they can use the weapon in all Ghosts multiplayer maps now.

This adorable crocheted Tauntaun will be a great addition to your other plush Star Wars toys. He will look great on your shelf, your couch, in your bed or wherever. He isn’t big enough to cut open if you are facing bitter cold temps though. Which is good, considering the smell.

How the American Dream Is Killing the American Electric Bill

How the American Dream Is Killing the American Electric Bill

In 2012, American homes consumed 3.65 billion kilowatthours (kWh) worth of electricity—up from 720 million kWh in 1950—more than double per household than our British counterparts, and second only to China. How did the American home become such an energy hog, despite so many advances in efficient appliances and construction? Blame the American Dream.

Internet Rallies Against Condoleezza Rice’s Appointment To Dropbox’s Board

Internet Rallies Against Condoleezza Rices Appointment To Dropboxs Board

Yesterday Dropbox made a few announcements, which include the new Carousel Gallery feature. The cloud storage company also announced that former United States Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice would be joining its board. Internet activists are up in arms, and are now trying to push Dropbox to drop her from the board. Though its likely that Dropbox might have considered the blowback prior to the announcement, given that Rice’s position in the Bush administration has often been the cause of controversy.

Research Shows High Interest In iPhone 6 Due To Larger Display Rumors

Research Shows High Interest In iPhone 6 Due To Larger Display Rumors

Last month ChangeWave polled more than 4,000 people, who were asked if they would be willing purchase the next iPhone, a.k.a iPhone 6. The findings show that there is already high interest for Apple’s next generation smartphone, which is expected to debut in fall 2014. 14 percent respondents said that they are very likely to purchase it, while 26 percent responded they were somewhat likely.

This 40 percent together shows that there is significant buying interest than there was for Apple’s previous iPhones. ChangeWave conducted a similar poll in March 2013 when rumors about two iPhones being launched were circulating wildly. Back then only 26 percent respondents said they were likely to pick up the new iPhone, despite the fact that even at that time there were rumors about larger displays.

But the rumors seem to make sense now, given the fact that Apple decided to stick with the same size for yet another generation of iPhones. Many Wall Street analysts are now of the view that if Apple doesn’t want iPhone sales to fall flat it is going to have to adopt larger displays. This is presumably why people are now more likely to believe that iPhone 6 is going to follow current market trends, which evidently lean towards large displays.

ChangeWave’s parent company, 451 Research, said that “speculation over a larger screen iPhone is clearly striking a chord with consumers,” and that it is the highest level of demand for an unannounced iPhone ChangeWave has ever seen in its survey.
