The hugely popular first-person shooter series Borderlands is getting a new entry in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, a game set between the story of previous two games. Not exactly shocking, but neat nonetheless. What’s shocking is where we’ll play…

It was right at the start of this week when we brought you word that North Korea’s smartphone, known as the Arirang AS1201, happens to look eerily similar to China’s very own Uniscope U1201, especially when you place the two of them side by side as depicted in the image above. Well, here we are with word that the Arirang AS1201 could actually have been made in China instead of rolling off the production lines of North Korea itself, but don’t let the North Korean populace learn of this since it might be considered to be a loss of face to their recently re-elected Supreme Leader of North Korea.

France: Companies Not Allowed To Contact Employees Electronically After Work Day Is Over
Posted in: Today's ChiliIf you happen to stay in France and earn a living there, then you might be familiar with the following. They happen to have a 35 hour work week (do bear in mind that the 35-hour working week happens to be a measure that was first adopted in France back in February 2000, under the watch of Prime Minister Lionel Jospin’s Plural Left government. The 35 hours happen to be the legal standard limit, where working more than that would be overtime) as well as up to six weeks of paid vacation (well, for the luckiest of them, but certainly not most), now how does that sound to those overworked worker drones out there?
Still, French workers continue to get contacted by the office for work related stuff even when they have already clocked out, which is something that most of us would think to be pretty normal these days.
I guess they do it differently in France, where a deal that was signed by tech industry employers and several unions in that part of Europe would mean the law forbids companies affected to contact employees electronically once their work day is done with.
Needless to say, the worker groups are more than happy to hear about this particular news, but since there are always two sides to a coin, you can be sure that there will be some unhappy people around, too.
Considering how France happens to have a large digital sector, not to mention being plagued by bureaucracy being a major complaint among critics, this latest labor-friendly law would certainly place employers at a disadvantage. I guess this is where being as efficient as possible in the office itself would be the key to keeping everyone happy.

What happens after we die? Spiritually, who knows. Physically? Your body becomes a festering production line, spewing out more than 400 nasty compounds that would be toxic to your body if you weren’t already dead, as Scientific American explains in this unsettlingly cheery animation.
The folks over at iFixit certainly do take their craft seriously, learning how to dismantle each new device that comes out, so that us consumers do not need to go through the same process. Along the way, they do share details such as the overall repairability score, not to mention anything noteworthy that they have discovered. Well, this time around, the iFixit folks have gotten hold of a Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch, and what are some of their findings? The battery can be replaced without having to go through too much trouble at all, which is a good thing, really.
In the Samsung Gear 2 teardown, all that one needs would be a screwdriver and hands that are not averse to a wee bit of light prying so that the case itself will be able to open up, revealing its innards to the rest of the world. Other than the battery itself, majority of the other components could be released easily – relatively speaking of course. There is one particular point to take note of though – a fused display assembly would mean you will have to replace the entire shebang if it were to be damaged or defective. How do you find your Samsung Gear 2 that sits pretty around your wrist so far?

I have always wondered why car manufacturers didn’t go the extra mile and make it so keyless entry systems are actually keyless and fobless. Sure, it’s more convenient to press a button on the door or grope yourself looking for a remote than to have to put a key in the door. That said, it would be much more convenient if the car would just unlock itself when you walk up and lock itself when you leave.
It can’t cost much more for automakers to implement that sort of tech. Until that tech becomes common on cars sold around the world. Viper has a system that will bring that functionality to the aftermarket. The system is called the Viper Smartkey and it uses your iPhone to lock and unlock your doors.
The cool part is that you don’t have to take the smartphone out of your pocket or purse to make it work. All you need to do is get out of the car and walk away, the doors will lock, and the Viper alarm will arm. When you walk back up to the car, the doors unlock and the alarm turns off. Smartkey does require a Viper alarm or remote start system to function. If you have one of those systems, you can get Smartkey for $149.99(USD) right now.
