So we heard that Super Smash Bros. will be making its way onto the Nintendo 3DS later this year in summer, followed by a Wii U release later in winter. Given that game is designed to be a multiplayer game, safe to say that Nintendo has foreseen that gamers will run into trolls and griefers who will do everything in their power to make the game un-fun for you.
Thankfully Nintendo has thought this through and have come up with a list of rules that will result in gamers getting banned if they break any of them. This was revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation and some of the things that gamers can do to get banned includes starting a game and not playing, essentially wasting everyone’s time; relentless targeting of an individual which we guess can be attributed to harassment and bullying; frequent self-destructs; frequent dropping which is also a waste of time; and last but not least, cheating.
We’re not sure what kind of cheats the game has since it has yet to be released, but presumably this could also cover the exploitation of bugs in the game and on certain characters that might give players a slight edge over the competition. Of course these rules don’t apply to local multiplayer games so you might want to think carefully of who you invite over for a game of Super Smash Bros.!
In fact this sounds a bit like Microsoft’s reputation system that they’re implementing for the Xbox One. Basically bad players are punished while good players are rewarded. Some of these can’t be helped, like dropping from games since it could be due to a bad connection, so hopefully Nintendo and whoever’s behind the banhammer will be able to distinguish between legitimate drops and players who drop out of games on purpose.

We’re sure that there are more than a few of you guys who have played the original Wolfenstein game from back in the day. The gameplay was relatively new and the graphics, well, we suppose for that time it was pretty good but definitely pales in comparison to what we have today.
Now we know that MachineGames is working on a new game called Wolfenstein: The New Order and a new trailer has recently been released, which safe to say is actually pretty disturbing and does a good job at settting a very dark and serious tone for the upcoming game.
The game was originally pegged for a release back in 2013 but due to delays, the game has since been pushed for a release this year, although there’s still no word on when exactly that will be taking place. According to Bethesda’s Pete Hines, he felt that the game could use the extra time to polish up which we guess is a fair assessment. After all no one likes a buggy game or one that feels rushed, right?
The delay was also because the game was being developed simultaneously for both current and next-gen consoles, so gamers on either platform can rest assured knowing that the releases should be around the same time as opposed to having to wait around for the launch on their current/next-gen console. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the video above for the trailer.

Despite Nintendo not exactly being in the forefront when it comes to selling consoles at the moment, the company’s contributions to the gaming industry are well-known as they have provided us with popular and iconic games like Mario and its various iterations. Well the good news is that if you were looking forward to a new Mario game, Nintendo has recently confirmed that a new Mario game is in the works.
Unfortunately Nintendo was unable to confirm if the game is coming onto the Nintendo 3DS handheld console or if it will be destined for the Wii U instead. According to the game’s producer, Yoshiaki Koizumi when asked about which platform it would be released on, he said, “That’s still a secret. I can tell you, though, that we’ve already started approaching our next challenge.”
However the game’s team leader, Kenta Motokura seemed to hint that perhaps it could be for the Wii U because he mentioned that if it were released for the Wii U, the game might take advantage of the GamePad to help enhance the gameplay. In any case we guess we might have to wait a while until we learn more about the new Mario game, so until then stay tuned for more updates!
