Selfies Considered To Be A Mental Disorder, According To American Psychiatric AssociationBefore the “selfie” term was coined, many people were already figuring out ways to take photos of themselves, whether it be with digital cameras, smartphones, or even film cameras back in the day. Safe to say “selfies” aren’t exactly new per se. However with the term having been officially coined, it seems that there is now a mental disorder associated with it as well.

According to the American Psychiatric Association, the act of taking a selfie can be considered a mental disorder. The disorder has been labeled selfitis and is defined as an obsessive compulsive desire to take photos of oneself and publish it onto social media, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and so on.     GameSpy Will Be Effectively Shutting Down On May 31Back in the day, we’re sure many gamers were familiar with GameSpy and its services. Now back in 2013, the company announced that they would no longer be accepting new games and now according to a post by the service’s parent company, Glu Mobile, it seems that GameSpy will be shutting its doors for good on the 31st of May 2014.

    According to the note, it reads that “effective May 31, 2014, GameSpy will cease providing all hosting services for all games still using GameSpy. Thanks for a great ride!” What this means is that there will hundreds of game titles that will be affected by this closure, but since GameSpy announced that it would stop accepting new games last year, hopefully these companies have prepared themselves for an eventual shutdown.
