Jeep Bed Blueprints Will Have You Counting Sheep in Your Jeep

Not to sound like an old man or anything, but when I was young you had a mattress and a frame to rest it on. We didn’t need anything fancy. Kids nowadays. Bah. They can sleep on anything they want. Like this Jeep Wrangler.

Count sheep while you sleep in your Jeep, while not far away, the boogeyman creeps. Kids will be dreaming of some off-road fun when they sleep in this bed. Etsy seller Jeepbed will sell you a template for $29.95(USD) that provides step-by-step instructions for you to make this bed. It should cost about $250 in materials – plus an ample dose of your time and effort to build one.

Just make sure the brakes are on. And don’t put junior to sleep outdoors near a hill. That could be dangerous.

NASA: The Only Thing Stopping a City-Destroying Asteroid Is Blind Luck

So you know how we all kind of thought that our odds of getting destroyed by an asteroid were remarkably low? Yeah, that was wrong . Twitter Parody Account Results In Police Raid At Home

Twitter Parody Account Results In Police Raid At HomeWhen it comes to an online service like Twitter, there is certainly entertainment value there if you know just where to look For instance, there are plenty of parody accounts out there that pop up from time to time, and one of the more recent ones that we could think of is Steve Ballmer and his iPhone gig, which has proved to be a fake account. Majority of these accounts tend to be left alone because they have clearly explained themselves to be satirical in nature instead of trying to pass themselves off as the real McCoy. Of course, there are other accounts that could be held accountable for misrepresentation.

In fact, one of the best examples to not create a parody Twitter account without a proper disclaimer would be this – police officers have recently raided a home in Peoria, Illinois, as part of their efforts to flush out the creator of a parody account that actually insulted the town’s mayor.

The @PeoriaMayor account was said to have been created in February earlier this year, where it came with a photo of Mayor Jim Ardis. Accompanying that was a bio that described his job, as well as his email address. It took a fortnight thereabouts before the bio was updated to clarify that this happened to be a parody account. The damage had been done by then though, as some of the previous tweets did include plenty of references to sex and drug consumption.

Needless to say, this account was suspended since, having snagged a mere 50 followers thereabouts when it was still active. An investigation by the Peoria Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard has been launched, where the account’s creator could end up being charged with an offence that might incur a maximum fine of $2,500 in addition to spending a year in the slammer.

Chuwi Cloned Lenovo’s Android-Powered Yoga Tablets

Chuwi Cloned Lenovo’s Android Powered Yoga TabletsChuwi, the Chinese relative of Chewbacca – no, I jest, they happen to be a China-based device manufacturer, and their latest Android-powered tablet seemed to have taken a major page right out of Lenovo’s Yoga range of tablets that run on the Android mobile operating system. I suppose you can even call it a clone of Lenovo’s offerings, where it boasts of a kickstand as well so that you will be able to prop up Chuwi’s tablet on the table, leaving your hands free to shovel some pizza into your mouth as you watch the latest downloaded movie there.

Considering how Lenovo’s tablets are powered by quad-core MediaTek processors, the new Chuwi tablet will go one up on its “inspiration” – by featuring an octa-core processor from MediaTek, which theoretically speaking, is more powerful. This new tablet was paraded at the HTKDC show in Hong Kong, where it runs on the octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, has 802.11ac Wi-Fi support, accompanied by a PowerVR Series 6 graphics chipset that caters for 4K video playback and displays up to 2560 x 1600 pixels.

Other hardware specifications for this tablet has yet to be finalized, and neither do we have the confirmed details for its pricing and availability. Still, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, isn’t it?

Future Google Nexus Smartphone Might Have MediaTek Solution Powering It

Future Google Nexus Smartphone Might Have MediaTek Solution Powering ItThere is a new rumor that has made its way out from China, touting that Internet search giant Google will select MediaTek as their chipset supplier for their upcoming Nexus smartphone model. It might be nothing but hot air, really, considering how just about everyone else makes use of Qualcomm processors in this day and age, it would be a real surprise if Google were to make use of MediaTek’s achievements in this department.

After all, we did hear about MediaTek working on their very own hexa-core chipset that they call their own earlier this February, not to mention the MT6732 processor that targets the mid-range market, also heard of in February this year. It must be noted that MediaTek themselves are an up-and-coming mobile chipset manufacturer, so it would make perfect sense for Google to consider them at one point or another. Perhaps, if this were to be true, that Google too, could eventually wield their power of persuasion over the company to release sources for its chips in order for additional custom ROM developments to happen on MTK-based devices.

MediaTek has somewhat gained a reputation for churning out affordable chipsets in the past, so does this mean that we can also expect the next generation Nexus device to be easy on your bank account as well without compromising on performance?

Motorola To Introduce XT1021, XT1022 And XT1025 In May (Rumor)

Motorola To Introduce XT1021, XT1022 And XT1025 In May (Rumor)Word on the street has it that Motorola is working on a new smartphone that sports a 4.3” display, where this alleged handset will arrive in three different models – the single SIM XT1021, the dual SIM XT1022, and the XT1025 that sports dual SIM capability in addition to digital TV ability. Apparently, all three models have already picked up the nod of approval by the relevant Brazilian authorities, which means we ought to be able to get a closer look at them soon.

The exact resolution count of the new handset’s alleged 4.3” display has not been revealed, but a screenshot tip off did show off other features that we would most definitely be interested in – including the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 5MP shooter at the back, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory that will, in all probability, be able to be expanded via a microSD memory card slot, and a 1,900 mAh battery to keep you going.

These are also said to be extremely thin in nature, so the big question is, will they launch in May? It really is a matter of waiting it out now. From what we have heard on the grapevine, these handsets will measure 4.91” x 2.55” x 0.24”, which would mean it is really, really slim.
