Acer X313 Hybrid Device Costs $950 A Pop

Acer X313 Hybrid Device Costs $950 A PopWhen it comes to a hybrid computing device like a tablet-laptop, you would most probably not have the name of Acer come across your mind. Well, it seems that the company might have something to do with the hybrid computing device segment through the release of the 11” Acer X313. This particular hybrid does seem to shape up to be a competitor to the Surface Pro 2 or VAIO Tap 11, although it costs more at $950 a pop. Despite that, it has a lower resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, where it arrives with an older Ivy Bridge Core i5 processor instead of Haswell.

That would definitely have a less than favorable impact on battery life, as it currently stands at half a dozen hours. Who knows what kind of battery life will it come with should it run on the Haswell platform? Measuring 0.39” thin while tipping the scales at 1.74 pounds, it is a wee bit lighter than the Surface Pro 2. The base specifications comes with a 120GB SSD, compared to the Microsoft hybrid’s 64GB of storage space. Would you want to pick up the Acer X313 tablet when it is finally made available, or would you prefer something from a more established player like Microsoft?
