When it comes to apps and software, new releases as well as periodic updates make plenty of sense, and changes that cannot be seen on top and yet make a stark difference to the final product are normally the best ones. Over the past few months there have been a lot of rumors about the devices that Amazon is believed to be working on. Some say that the company is building a game console, others believe that perhaps its working on a set top box. For over a year now it has been rumored that Amazon is looking to get into the smartphone game. Its expected to build one that would run a highly forked version of Android, like its Kindle tablets. While nothing concrete has materialized, recent rumors suggest that the Amazon smartphone release is slated for this year.
