Apple has a new patent application published today by the USPTO (via AppleInsider), which details a stylus with a nib that can be extended to take advantage of multi-touch capabilities for a wider brush stroke, and that has built-in light sensors so that it can act as essentially an eye-dropper tool for the real world, capturing colors from physical objects to use in digital painting. The patent… Read More

When whispers of the OneNote app from Microsoft were confirmed through the release of the app just a few days later, it is interesting to note the level of ‘success’, so to speak, of Microsoft’s free OneNote app for Mac. In fact, the app had already rushed its way right to the very top of the Mac App Store chart, now how about that for popularity?

Analyst Doesn’t Think 8GB iPhone 5c And Relaunched iPad 4 Will Have Much Impact On Apple’s March/June Quarters
Posted in: Today's ChiliA couple of days ago after some rumors, Apple really did launch the 8GB iPhone 5c and reintroduced the iPad 4 which would be officially replacing the iPad 2 as the lower-cost iPad model. We’re sure many of you guys are wondering if by introducing these products, would it be able to generate sufficient interest to impact Apple’s profit margins?
Well we can only assume that that’s what Apple had in mind, but one analyst by the name of Gene Munster appears to be a little skeptical about Apple’s efforts. Munster admits that these “new” products will have a slight positive benefit for Apple over the next two quarters, but calls it “ultimately irrelevant” for the company’s June quarter. (more…)

Can you think of how many different texts, emails, and comments you write in a day? It seems like an endless amount, but it is spread across your phone, tablet, and computer. Of course, when you’re sitting at your desk, you use all three almost simultaneously. Instead of bringing up a keyboard and making it harder to see what you’re writing due to screen size limitations, why not use your computer keyboard for everything?
The Kanex Multi-Sync Keyboard will allow you to type on any three devices you choose with the same keyboard. All it takes is a press of a button, and you will switch from one Bluetooth device to another. In style and function, this was meant to be paired with Apple devices. It will still work with Windows or Android, but some of the hotkeys or shortcuts might not be of use.
This can also be paired with your Xbox360, but only in USB mode. This will cost you around $70, and sadly works primarily on AAA batteries. It does come with a stand that will accommodate either an iPhone or iPad. This is great for multi-taskers who want to keep things organized and seamless. There is a number pad, volume, brightness, play, and pause buttons for you to adjust things exactly as you like it. As this is wireless, it’s also great for those who enjoy having a keyboard for on-the-go situations.

iOS 7.1 is the first major update that Apple has rolled out for iOS 7 ever since the firmware was released late last year. It brought several visual enhancements, improvements and fixes. While it seems to have made things better for users, people who used or rather abused the Personal Hotspot feature on iOS 7 have been seriously inconvenienced by the update. iOS 7.1 takes away the ability to manually edit tethering settings for unauthorized carriers, users will no longer be able to create a Personal Hotspot if their carrier doesn’t support it.
