Infinity Blade 3: Soul Hunter Update Scheduled For 31st October

Chair Entertainment’s Infinity Blade 3 was released back in September, meaning that the game has been around for a little over a month now. While the game’s graphics might not be a huge leap over its predecessor, it does come with a few improvements that feels more like a polish rather than a dramatic upgrade. In any case if you are done with the game or have gotten a bit bored of the grind, Chair has revealed that an update will be headed your way come 31st of October which will introduce a new campaign. The update has been dubbed the Soul Hunter and will introduce a new end boss dubbed Oslim, a Level 100 Deathless Bloodmage who wields dual Infinity Blades and has been sent by the Worker of Secrets to put a cramp in Siris and Isa’s plans.

Apart from the introduction of a new campaign, the update will also introduce new armor sets to the game for both Siris and Isa, additional exploratory quests, holiday helmets starting with the Pumpkin helmet given that its release is on Halloween, along with a bunch of other fixes, balances, and various improvements that will hopefully help enhance the game’s experience. Infinity Blade 3 is expected to be last installment in the Infinity Blade trilogy but hopefully the updates with additional content will keep coming at a steady pace. In the meantime you can check out the video above for a preview of the upcoming update.

Double Dragon Trilogy To Make Its Way Onto iOS And Android

If you grew up playing arcade games then chances are you might have heard of the Double Dragon video game. The good news is that if you were hoping to relive some memories and replay the game for nostalgic purposes, you’re in luck because a compilation of Double Dragon games will be making its way onto your mobile devices and will play nicely with both the iOS and Android platform. The game was originally released in 1987 and has since been remade for a variety of consoles. No word on when the game will be released, but according to its description, it states that it will be “coming soon on iOS / Android”, so we guess we will just have to play the waiting game for now.

The compilation, dubbed the Double Dragon Trilogy, will feature all three installments of the original arcade series. This includes Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2: The Revenge, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone. It will also feature two game modes: Arcade and Story, with former involving racking up as many points as possible, while the latter will unlock stages and achievements. There will be three different difficulty levels and for gamers looking to relive the authentic experience, you will be able to choose the original 8-bit soundtrack, although a remastered soundtrack is also available. There will also be a co-op mode (score!) that allows players to play over Bluetooth and will also support gamepads.

Multitude Of Google Apps Updated, What’s Going On?

Multitude Of Google Apps Updated, Whats Going On?We know that there is an event planned for the 5th of November in which it is speculated that the Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat will be announced/released. Granted Google and LG have yet to confirm it, the invite really doesn’t leave much to the imagination and according to a post on Reddit, something is going on with a multitude of Google apps. The poster has noticed that to so far, 16 Google apps have been updated and shows the 29th of October as the most recent update, although no changelog was shown and the updates have yet to roll out to the masses. The apps in question are Google Play Services, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Earth, Translate, Chrome, Hangouts (announced but not yet due for release), Goggles, Play Magazines, Keep, Wallet, Blogger, Google+ (which has been rolled out), Analytics, and Fiber.

It is unclear what’s with the sudden update of all these Google apps. While Google did hold a Google+ event recently, that might explain the updates to Hangouts and Google+, but certainly not the rest. Could this have something to do with the upcoming announcement of Android 4.4 KitKat and with the native Google apps being primed and ready to be compatible with the operating system? That’s certainly a possibility, albeit rather speculative, but what do you guys think is going on here?

Apple Job Listings Hint At Public Transit Integration In Maps

Apple Job Listings Hint At Public Transit Integration In MapsApple Maps when first launched was nothing short of a disaster, with reports of users being led to wrong places and with the app itself being unreliable as a whole, which was thankfully solved by a release of an updated version of Google Maps for iOS devices. Apple has since been making changes and improvements to their Maps app and thanks to recent job listings, it has been hinted that public transit routes would eventually see an integration within the app itself. According to the job listings, originally spotted by the folks at MacRumors, the two job listings are looking for individuals to fill a “Maps Public Transit Engineering Manager” position and a “Maps C++ Software Engineer – Public Transit.”

According to one of the descriptions for the job listing, “As a member of the Transit Routing team, you will work on one of the most anticipated features of Apple Maps. You will design and implement functionality that will be used by millions of users worldwide. Being part of a small team, you will have an influence on the future product.” Given that these job listings were made months after Apple’s acquisition of Embark, a app and service company that deals with public transit information, we guess it would make sense that they would eventually be integrating the information obtained by Embark into their Maps app. No word on when the public transit feature would make its way into Apple’s Maps app, but it’s something worth looking forward to.
