ASUS Reportedly Drops Plans And Halts Sale Of Dual Booting Products [Rumor]
Posted in: Today's ChiliEarlier this year at CES 2014, ASUS unveiled an interesting device called the ASUS Transformer Book Duet. What made it particularly interesting is that it could dual boot both Windows 8 and Android, sort of like giving users the best of both worlds.
However a follow-up report suggested that Google was putting pressure on ASUS to kill off the product because they did not like Android having to share the same device as Windows, especially since both are competing against one another. (more…)

ASUS Game Box Controller Leaked
Posted in: Today's ChiliAndroid-powered gaming consoles aren’t a bad idea. In fact, OUYA was one of the few such consoles that managed to get a lot of attention, although after many delays, its launch left a lot to be desired. It’s safe to say that despite the initial hype, the console did not prove to be quite the hit as many had imagined, but apparently ASUS is hoping to change that.
Apparently ASUS has an Android-powered gaming console in mind called the Game Box, and thanks to a recent Bluetooth SIG certification, an image of the console’s controller has been leaked, as you can see in the image above. (more…)

Word on the street has it that ASUS of Taiwan is working on a brand new 15” Ultrabook, the ASUS Zenbook NX500, and if the rumors surrounding it prove to be true, then it ought to arrive with a 4K Ultra HD display. Other possible features of this particular Ultrabook would include an aluminum body (to keep up with the times, I suppose), an anti-glare display, as well as ear rockin’ Bang & Olufsen audio. Do bear in mind that the Zenbook NX500 would not be the inaugural 15” Ultrabook from ASUS, and it seems that it will most probably arrive with an Intel Haswell CPU, not to mention that there is every possibility of a discrete graphics card underneath the hood to help it chug along nicely visually.

They say that knowledge is power, but I would like to think otherwise. Knowledge is potential power if you know how to leverage it, and ASUS intends to “educate” the masses with what they have in store for the future where its Android 4.4 KitKat devices are concerned. In fact, a list of which particular device from ASUS’ stables that will be on the receiving end of this operating system update has been revealed, so for those who happen to own an ASUS PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity (the old and new models), or PadFone A80 have reason to smile. This particular Android 4.4 KitKat update will arrive on the original PadFone Infinity in Asia and Russia, as well as the PadFone A80 in Europe. As for the ASUS PadFone 2 and the new Infinity, both of them should be updated to the latest KitKat version regardless of its territory.
