ASUS PadFone Mini To Launch In Taiwan Next Week

ASUS PadFone Mini To Launch In Taiwan Next WeekIt was some time in September this year that we brought you news that ASUS has already confirmed the ASUS PadFone Mini, in addition to the MeMOFone HD5. Well, waiting can get pretty long and boring at times, so much so that it is easy to lose faith in a particular product announcement afterwards. We are pleased as punch to inform you that the ASUS PadFone Mini is all set for a proper launch in Taiwan next Wednesday, as invitations have already been sent out. It does seem that the smaller docking station too, is on track to be released, so we cannot wait until next Wednesday to check out the ASUS PadFone Mini in all of its glory.

Basically, the ASUS PadFone Mini, according to a listing which was found in the Global Certification Forum (GSF), will arrive with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in tow, in addition to a screen resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor to keep this rumored 7″ tablet going. Of course, there is no telling what the final size would be until next Wednesday, but one thing’s for sure – the GCF’s listing point to just 3G radios, so be prepared to make do without 4G connectivity if you decide to pick this puppy up.

Asus M80T Tablet Hits The FCC

Asus M80T Tablet Hits The FCCThe folks over at the FCC do have an extremely interesting job – they get to play with the latest gizmos that have yet to arrive in the market. Of course, sometimes you do end up with some duds, where these could be difficult to go through, but one still must – just like when you are reviewing a bad game. Asus has a new tablet up their sleeves that has arrived at the FCC just like in the past, which would be the Asus M80T that will arrive in three main variants (with nine different variants in total), which will run on Android, Windows, or both operating systems, now how about that?

This sounds perfect for those who find it difficult to make up their minds, as you get the best of both worlds. Of course, it remains to be seen just what kind of performance are you able to eke out of these tablets, so we will have to wait until there is a review somewhere. The Asus M80T could very well be an entry-level tablet considering how it has basic wireless connectivity such as 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Needless to say, it also remains to be seen just when will this puppy ship, so we will just have to sit tight and wait for additional news (or rumors) to arrive. Having said that, Asus has the tendency to announce a slew of gizmos at CES each year, so who knows, we might just hear more about it by early January?

    ASUS Miracast Dongle Launched

ASUS Miracast Dongle LaunchedASUS has announced that they have a fair number of devices up their sleeves for the future, where the spheres that the company intends to influence will include tablets, smartphones, and laptops, but it seems that the living room too, is not spared with the launch of the ASUS Miracast Dongle. The Miracast Dongle from ASUS was specially designed so that you are able to check out content on your TV using a smartphone or a tablet. I suppose you can always lump this to be something like a wireless HDMI cable, where all you need to do is to plug the stick into your TV, boot up a presentation, game, or play a video on your mobile device, and you should also see a duplicate appear on your TV.

Some might say that the ASUS Miracast Dongle is not too different from that of a Google Chromecast, but do bear in mind that the Miracast Dongle will not be limited to a minority bunch of apps. Expect the Miracast Dongle to retail for €79 a pop in Europe. It does resemble a USB flash drive somewhat, but it will be accompanied by a HDMI connector in lieu of where a USB port would be found. ASUS talks third-generation Nexus 7, plans to show off wearable at Computex

ASUS has reported its third-quarter earnings, which show the company suffered a substantial net profit loss year-on-year due to a massive one-time tax bill of about $52m USD, cutting its revenues down by 26-percent over the same quarter in 2012. That aside, the rest of the numbers were less dramatic, and during the report both […]
