A company called Skully Helmets has unveiled a new and very cool helmet called the Skully P1. This helmet is notable because it has an integrated rearview camera that shows what’s behind the rider on a small heads up display in the visor of the helmet. That rearview camera provides a 180-degree view of what’s behind the wearer.
The helmet is also able to pair to smartphones and offers voice controls for calls, music, and turn-by-turn navigation directions. The helmet uses the something Skully calls their Synapse HUD, which appears to float 20 feet in front of the rider’s field of view. The overlay is persistent and has two views for the rider to choose from. One of the views is a standard rearview camera mode and the other offers detailed turn-by-turn navigation.
The helmet runs on internal battery good for nine hours of use per charge. The helmet is powered by the Android operating system and the company plans to launch an SDK next year allowing developers to make apps specifically for the helmet. In addition to all of it’s high tech chops, the helmet meets DOT and ECE safety standards. Pricing and a release date is unannounced at this time.

With the Jukebox Dock Bluetooth, you will be able to party as though it is 1946, although it will feature some future-forward ideas, thanks to an integrated USB port that also allows you to power up your devices whenever their batteries start to run low on juice.
Do not be fooled by its retro finishing, however, as it does boast of outstanding sound quality, delivering all of the fun without any of the expensive coin-feeding sessions. While no one is able to pull off a “Smooth Criminal” move from afar with the Jukebox Dock Bluetooth, you can always make use of your imagination to get the job done. The Jukebox Dock Bluetooth, as its name suggests, will play nice with all of your Bluetooth-enabled devices. All you need to do is to pop one into the universal cradle that is located at the front, and you will be able to enjoy excellent stereo sound, while juicing it up simultaneously. Of course, if you happen to use something ancient that does not have Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm input cable is here to save the day.

When it comes to portable speakers, there are just way too many brands out there that it can get pretty difficult trying to differentiate one from the other. Well, the folks over at BOOM Movement might be able to present a rather strong case for themselves with the SWIMMER portable Bluetooth speaker. This is no ordinary portable Bluetooth speaker, as it will also be shockproof and waterproof as well. Size certainly does not matter with the SWIMMER, considering how it comes in an extremely lightweight and compact form factor, sporting a bass-bumping design which will feature a flexible tail attachment that comes in handy when you want to hook, loop, wrap or grip it to just about any object that you put your mind to.
The SWIMMER portable Bluetooth speaker would arrive in an ultra-protective silicon skin that has been engineered with an IPX Level 7 rating. As mentioned earlier, there is a flexible tail attachment which allows this $59.99 Bluetooth speaker to loop itself securely around a paddle or handle bar, wrap around a wrist or belt loop, or simply to have it propped up on a desk or hang it from a notebook display. Not only that, it can also be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for half an hour. In any case, if you choose to remove the tail, it can be swapped out with an optional suction cup backing so that it can be stuck to a range of flat surfaces.
The SWIMMER portable Bluetooth speaker will be available in Gray/Teal, Blue/Gray, Red/Gray, Teal/Gray and White/Blue combination colors if you are interested. Not only that, when the suction cup attachment is in use, the SWIMMER would be able to produce an even louder, rumbling bass-bumping effect as it will play off of the surface that it is mounted to. Of course, the whole idea of having it arrive in a Bluetooth-friendly model is to let listeners enjoy a wireless connection.

Nexus 5 Gets Bluetooth SIG Approval
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt does seem as though the Nexus 5 is right on track with word that it has already received approval from the folks over at the Bluetooth SIG, as there are rumors going around that Google might be looking at an October 15th release date. Should the rumors pan out to be true, it would also mean that the Nexus 5 would be introduced alongside Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest operating system. This particular device had already received FCC approval (or at least, it allegedly did), and having made it past through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) would more or less signal the fact that this smartphone is very close to an official rollout.
The Bluetooth SIG filing did not reveal anything new, where it happens to point in the direction of the LG model D821, which is pretty much the very same one that went through the hurdles set up by the FCC a month back. This handset is also tipped to arrive with a Full HD 4.95” display, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a 2,300mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera at the back with a 1.2-megapixel shooter in front, and LTE connectivity. Are you one of those who is looking out for the Nexus 5?
