Singing Machine has introduced its latest device, the Singing Machine Home. The round device is subtle in design and doesn’t immediately lend one towards thoughts of a karaoke machine, yet doubles as such for those times when one needs to break out some entertainment. The Bluetooth speaker will be launched via Best Buy later this […]
There are almost as many wireless Bluetooth keyboards on the market as there are Bluetooth speakers. But why spend money on yet another keyboard for your mobile devices when there’s probably already a perfectly good one on your laptop? With this Bluetooth USB transmitter dongle from Buffalo, the keyboards you already have can also work on your smartphone or tablet.
The Schuberth C3 Pro is the best motorcycle helmet you can buy. Sure, there are caveats. I haven’t worn that many helmets. There’s really no such thing as a "best" helmet, considering individual needs and applications—an open-faced off-road helmet isn’t going to be great on the track—but for the average rider looking for the best all-around, well-crafted, space-aged materials helmet with all the latest technology stuffed inside, I can’t see anything besting the C3 Pro. But after three months of riding with the Schuberth exclusively, I’m still not sure you should buy one, because a cheap pair of earbuds and a smartphone almost obviates every factor at which the Schuberth excels.

Motrr Galileo Bluetooth and Galileo 30-pin for iPhone pre-orders are now available
Posted in: Today's ChiliEver heard of Motrr before? Well, they happen to be the designers behind the Gorillapod range of innovative camera tripods, and this time around, they have announce the pre-order availability of the Galileo Bluetooth and Galileo 30-pin that will target the iPhone, and this window of opportunity is open from now until the end of this month. Galileo has been named after the well known character from the past, where it happens to be a revolutionary iOS-controlled robotic iPhone platform this time around that comes with infinite spherical rotation capability so that it will open up the doors of iPhone owners to a world of photo, pano, and video possibilities.
Jasper Eisenberg, Marketing Manager at Motrr, said, “We are thrilled to release Galileo, a device platform we hope will inspire creativity and allow for more immersive experiences with people from anywhere in the world. Motrr’s mission is to transform the way we communicate with each other and with the world around us. With an entirely new dimension of control, everything from video calling, time-lapse photography, cinematography, and spherical imaging get way more interesting.”
With the Galileo, your iPhone will work with the Sphere app, ensuring that you remain just one tap away from capturing amazing spherical panoramas. Not only that, you are able to set pan and tilt controls in a jiffy for Galileo in order for it to locally create dynamic time-lapse sequences. Using a second smartphone, tablet, or web browser, you will be able to control Galileo remotely so that it can function as your “eyes” at home using one-way video. Want to do more? Not a problem at all, as it also delivers an immersive 2-way video calling experience, where all you need to do is to swipe your finger on your device and Galileo will responds, as it orients itself in any direction, which basically means you are able to control what you see.
The Galileo 30-Pin will play nice with the iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4th generation., while the Galileo Bluetooth is compatible with the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and iPod Touch 5th generation.

Alliance for Wireless Power and Bluetooth SIG team on smarter charging stations
Posted in: Today's ChiliWireless charging stations aren’t currently very bright, but they’re about to learn some new tricks. The Alliance for Wireless Power and the Bluetooth SIG are collaborating on an updated A4WP specification that uses Bluetooth Smart to manage wireless charging sessions. Future Bluetooth-equipped stations should optimize power delivery, prioritize charging for multiple devices and launch apps; you could order a meal by setting your phone down at a restaurant table, for instance. Just when we’ll see these smart stations isn’t certain, though. When the first A4WP-ready products aren’t likely to reach the market until next year, it could be a long time before wireless chargers become truly multi-talented.
