If you’re anything like me, you always have your smartphone with you. I always have a fear of losing something in my pocket, especially my car keys, so it drives me crazy to have a lot of things stuffed inside the pockets of my jeans. If you like to go a bit more minimalist and don’t want to have to carry your smartphone and your wallet, OtterBox has a new case that you might appreciate.
The case is called the Commuter Series Wallet and is available for the iPhone 5/5S and the Samsung Galaxy S4. This certainly isn’t the first case on the market to offer wallet capability, but it does look like OtterBox’s offering will hold more than a lot of other cases on the market. OtterBox is also well-known for making cases that actually protects your phone in the event of a drop.
Rather than having slots, this smartphone case has a sliding drawer on the back that appears to be approximately a quarter of an inch deep. You can cram credit cards, driver’s license, and cash inside the wallet drawer and have them with you at all times. The only downside I see is that the case is rather thick and might not fit in your pocket if you’re the sort who wears skinny jeans.

So, imagine you just shelled out $200 or $300 for one of those new Kindle Fire HDXs, only to have it scratch in your backpack as you pull it out to gloat to one of your friends. The polyurethane versions of the 7- and 8.9-inch HDX cases run $50 and $55, respectively, with the leather versions coming in at $65 and $70. The covers for the HD run $45 and $60.

If you can’t be bothered with those wire clips that help keep your earphone cord from getting all tangled up, then maybe you’ll find the Cordli more convenient and maybe easier to use.
Cordli cases are made for the iPhone 4/4S and 5 and have deep grooves at the back where you’re supposed to push the wire in. It effectively shortens your headphone wires so you won’t have to twist them around your device when you’re using them to deal with the extra length.

I always get a kick out of the juxtaposition of something new and high-tech along with something very old and retro looking. When you take the new iPhone 5S and cram it in a case that makes it look like an old-school boombox, cassette tape, or retro game gear, you have my attention. That is exactly what Rocketcases has done.
My three favorite cases the company offers (for every iPhone back to the 4) are the Nintendo themed Retro Gamer line. The cases can make your iPhone look like either a black or white Nintendo Game Boy or an old-school Nintendo game controller.
I also really like the two Ghetto Blaster cases that make the back of the phone look like an 80s boombox you would’ve carried on your shoulder. The VHS and cassette tape cases are also really cool. All of these cases are available online for $14.95 and will be perfect for the high-tech geek who still remembers the good old days.
LG’s oddly shaped Optimus Vu II is slated for an update next month, according to Korean site ETNews. The 4:3 large-format device, dubbed simply Vu 3 (LG has dropped the Optimus branding from flagship devices), has also appeared on an LG microsite, which serves to both confirm the handset’s existence and tease a pair of semi-transparent QuickView cases. The phone covers, available in black or gray, appear to feature a see-through design, enabling some pretty spiffy animated notifications. As for the phone itself, you can expect a Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 13-megapixel rear camera and LTE-Advanced support. It’s slated to hit KT Telecom, SK Telecom and LG U+ in Korea in the coming months.

Welcome to the drama, the dilemmas, the sheer disbelief involved in picking accessories to go with your new iPhone. (Yes, an official 30-pin to Lightning adapter really costs that much). We can’t promise to make the choices easy, but we can at least give you a glimpse of some of the bumpers and functional extras that Apple has revealed today, and link you up to the relevant pages on Apple’s store (see the Source links below).
Starting with the iPhone 5c, it’s “unapologetically” plastic to start with, of course, but you can give it extra protection with an additional, colorful mesh-style plastic case. This costs $29 and comes in the same five colors as the phone itself, so you can either match the phone or mix it up with a secondary color. There’s also a black option if you want to tone things down a bit. One more thing: the iPhone 5c gets it’s own Lightning dock, which comes in plain white and costs $29.
Next up: the iPhone 5s, which comes in very different color options — silver, grey or gold — and therefore gets a different set of bumper colors. These cost $49 $39 (correction: $49 is solely for the special (RED) charity case, regular cases are $39), they’re made of leather on the outside and protective microfiber on the inside, and come in softer colors that are a bit tricky to describe (not least because this writer is red-green color blind): some kinda yellow, some kinda peach, some kinda… or just look at the image after the break.
