[CES 2014] The folks over at Steiger Dynamics are certainly going out on a limb here, having announced the new MAVEN Home Theater PC which is touted to be the “most powerful Home Theater PC”, at least in its class. The asking price of $999 a pop will set a new standard when it comes to Home Theater PCs in the modern day living room. Boasting of a sleek design as well as extremely silent operation, it makes it a snap to integrate with the different kinds of home theater components that you have lying around. When you merge it with the likes of a large screen Full HD or 4K TV, the MAVEN should be able to see off the likes of Blu-ray players, DVRs, Desktop PCs and gaming consoles.
The MAVEN Home Theater PC claims to place the new generation of consoles to shame as it offers the fastest as well as most detailed gaming graphics that are available in the market at the moment. [CES 2014] Powerocks has just announced their spanking new Portable Power Bank that will be accompanied by an iOS and Android app that is capable of analyzing the battery status, while a smart alert would deliver a reminder to you to know just when you need to charge. Apart from that, the Portable Power Bank from Powerocks would allow you to post your battery status, emails, and texts to Facebook, Twitter and blogs without batting an eyelid.
Known as the Smart Power, it will carry 5,200mAh of juice wherever you go, coming in a colorful, portable and light-weight form factor. This would allow it to juice up other portable devices including smartphones, tablets and the ilk. Thanks to its 5,200mAh capacity, we should be able to see you double up your smartphone or tablet usage while you are on the road. [CES 2014] It seems that those who happen to own the Magellan Echo Smart Sports Watch will be pleased as punch to hear the unveiling of new sporting app categories as well as the inclusion of new colors for the Echo Smart Sports Watch at this year’s edition of CES. These additional sporting applications will include the likes of golf, skiing, hiking, and other outdoor activities to its capabilities. Apart from that, the two new colors that offers more options would comprise of Dark Blue and Gray. Being an open platform, the Echo has been specially designed to work with any app which is able to leverage a ruggedized, sporty smartwatch.
It has now been confirmed that leading apps including Golf Pad, FreeCaddie and AllTrails will be offering support for Echo in the near future. Relying on Bluetooth Smart to hook up a smartphone and watch, it places the power of a smartphone right on the user’s wrist. The Echo is said to play nice with the iPhone 4S, 5, 5C and 5S, while Android fans will have to wait for compatibility issues to be worked out until slightly later this year.
