Sony and T-Mobile have announced the Xperia Z1S, the US carrier’s version of the Xperia Z1 that debuted in Europe back at IFA in September 2013. The 5-inch Full HD … Continue reading
[CES 2014] It is official: the American flavor of the Sony XPERIA Z1 comes to T-Mobile under the XPERIA Z1s name. As you may have seen, the original Z1 was announced at IFA, and up until now, it wasn’t available through any U.S carriers. To change this, T-Mobile snapped an exclusive this XPERIA phone and the launch date (Jan 13 online sales, Jan 22 in-store sales) makes it convenient for XPERIA Z customers to switch to a Z1s through T-Mobile’s Jump program. T-Mobile Sony XPERIA Z1s: Hands-On Review original content from Ubergizmo.
In what is certainly the most enticing phone we’ve seen at CES thus far, Sony’s Xperia Z1S is heading to the U.S. as a T-Mobile exclusive, and it looks like an absolute powerhouse (as does its little buddy, for those who like smaller phones). Where to begin?
Last year, Sony put out one of the most practical solutions to the convertible problem
[CES 2014] Headphones come in all shapes and sizes, although the past couple of years we have started to see headphones take on a more fashion-conscious feel, partially thanks to the collaboration between Monster and Beats that resulted in headphones many would regard as a fashion accessory. The partnership between Monster and Beats has since come to an end but it seems that the outlandish designs have remained as Monster has announced their new 24K headphones, the Monster 24K which the complain claims has been inspired by rapper Meek Mill’s lifestyle.
The headphones are an over-the-ear model meaning that they should rest around the ears as opposed to directly on them, but we suppose this will vary depending on the size of your ears. The headphones will feature Monster’s Pure Monster Sound technology with “tight, deep bass” which are “unmatched in clarity and depth”. The headphones will also have swivel ear cups which is feature probably appreciated more by DJs. The Monster 24K will also come with a tangle-resistant coil cable, a ProStudio link cable, adapters, and Monster’s ControlTalk Universal that allows for hands-free calling and music playback control. The headphones will be available via Monster’s website for $319.95.

If a tiny workshop has prevented you from adding one of MakerBot’s Replicator 3D printers to your toolkit, today is your lucky day. The company has announced a smaller version of its Replicator 3D printer—aptly called the Replicator Mini—with a smaller footprint, easy one-touch printing, and even a networked camera inside allowing you to remotely keep tabs on a print job in process. It will be available sometime this spring for $1,375.
Because you are not allowed to be a company anymore if you don’t make an activity tracker, Epson is getting in on the action with its first two entries into the product category. While most of these are a dime a dozen, Epson’s Pulsense products might actually have a leg up on their competition: Built-in heart-rate monitoring.
A couple years ago we saw Epson’s Moverio make its debut. It was kind of like a double-eyed Google Glass, but it had a lot of issues. It was bulky, it was dim, it didn’t have any sensors. Basically, it didn’t do much. Today, the BT-200 is here, and it’s undeniably much, much better. The only question is, who’s it for?
