This week at the New York International Auto Show, Chevy announced that they’ll be bringing the Trax to their collection of small vehicles. This new Small SUV will be a … Continue reading
If you are worried about the inevitable zombie invasion – and who isn’t – you might want to check out this Chevy Silverado on display at the State Fair of Texas. This ‘Black Ops Concept’ is apocalypse ready. Chevy design manager Dave Ross calls it “a survival kit on four wheels.”
The Black Ops features a raised suspension and body armor to help it traverse the toughest terrain that the post-apocalyptic wasteland has to offer. In the bed is a zombie-proof Truck Vault storage unit. Inside of this is a solar power pack, gas masks, gloves, a military first aid kit, a folding shovel, and a rope. On top of the storage locker are a generator, fuel can, and food and water rations.
It has everything you need to survive hordes of zombies and keep going. I hope it becomes a reality before the undead show up.

Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon redesign detailed for early next year
Posted in: Today's ChiliGeneral Motors appears ready to begin offering a redesigned Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban as well as a GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. It is looking GM will keep these vehicles the same size as we have become familiar with, but include upgraded materials, better handling and even best-in-class fuel efficiency. These new models are expected […]
Wireless charging for phones is taking off, and we’re seeing the feature popping up more and more as the months go by, but it’s something that certainly isn’t the norm just yet. However, GM wants to incorporate the technology into cars, and it’s reported that the company will be including wireless charging in some of […]
No you are not seeing things. That car is really upside down and racing along without a care in the world. Jeff Bloch, otherwise known as “SpeedyCop“, likes to make strange custom cars. This one just happens to drive on its roof.
His latest project is a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro that he flipped over, then somehow made roadworthy. He describes it as “a frightening fusion of a wretched 1990 Ford Festiva and a horrible 1999 Chevy Camaro, with a not-so-subtle twist.” Creating this thing must have been a huge challenge, but the end result is pretty amazing.
SpeedyCop says that he is basically an 8-year-old kid trapped in a 40-year-old body. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the only way to be. He might want to take those turns easy, otherwise he’s going to scrape his rear-view mirrors against the asphalt.

Chevy Volt sales have been stagnant to say the least, with inventory at double the healthy level at a 140-day supply of Volts just lying around waiting for owners. To combat this and get the car selling again, Chevy has announced that the 2014 model of the Volt will see a 13% price drop compared […]
While the price of a Model S may have increased ever-so-slightly, EVs for the rest of us are starting to become reasonable propositions. GM, for instance, has announced that next year’s Chevy Volt will be listed at $34,995, knocking $5,000 from the current list price. Of course, you’ll still have to pay an $810 handling fee on top of that, but federal and state incentives could cut the cost down to $27,495 — which might make you think twice about that i3.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Chevy’s logo this year, the car company has created this graphic charting the evolution of the iconic bowtie. But did you know that the origins of the slanted cross are vague at best?
We’ve driven a number of EV‘s over the years — from the Ford Focus Electric to the Tesla Model S — but none have been as affordable as the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV. It costs $19,995, including the $7,500 federal tax credit, and just $17,495 in California, thanks to an additional $2,500 credit. The Spark EV is GM’s first pure electric car since the company scrapped the EV1 program in 2002. It’s a five-door supermini designed to carry four people plus luggage in comfort. While it’s primarily a city car, it’s perfectly at ease on the highway. We recently got the chance to take one for a spin in lovely Portland, Oregon, so hit the break for our impressions and hands-on video.

Hennessey has been in the business of modifying sports cars and gaining even more performance out of them for over 20 years, and their latest project is the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 (also known as the Corvette Stingray). Hennessey has unveiled their plans for their Corvette C7 upgrade program, with a launch date sometime in October.
The upgrades will consist of an Eaton supercharger, custom CNC-ported factory cylinder heads, proprietary intake and fueling systems, and a re-tuned engine control unit that will give the Corvette C7 up to 700-horsepower, which is quite the jump from the factory 460-horsepower that you get if you buy the car off the lot.
We’re already expecting an enhanced version of the C7 directly from Chevrolet, known as the ZR1, but we have yet to hear anything about that, so it seems like Hennessey is taking things into their own hands.
As for external modifications, there’s a carbon fiber bodykit and upgraded wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The whole performance upgrade will cost you $18,450, but that’s a small price to pay for almost double the horsepower, right? Plus, we have to say the exterior modifications make the C7 look extremely good.
If 700HP is a bit too much for you, but still want that Hennessey look and feel added to your new ride, the company will also offer kits that boost the horsepower to only 500 or 600, depending on the kit you want. However, they will also have 800HP and 1,000HP kits as well. Details on these kits specifically haven’t yet been discussed, but the 1,000HP kit is said to cost just under $70,000.
2014 Corvette C7 gets Hennessey treatment with 1,000HP tune-up is written by Craig Lloyd & originally posted on SlashGear.
