Tocomail: Safe & Easy Email Service For Kids

Tocomail: Safe & Easy Email Service For KidsKids are very different from adults, not only in the way where they perceive things, but also at how they use things, too. I mean, lend your precious and pristine iPad to a toddler and you might get it back full of scratches all over the place, not to mention it might even have been dunked into the bathtub! The same goes for apps, too, as some kids do not know how to avoid online predators when using services such as email. Fret not, parents, as Tocomail is here to save the day. Tocomail is an app for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and the Web, where it offers full parental control over email all the while making the email experience fun for your little ones.

    Twitter Tests Major Profile Redesign

Twitter Tests Major Profile RedesignTwitter intends to spruce things up in the future by testing a major profile redesign which is not too far away from that of Facebook and Google+. Apparently, the update would see one’s main picture as well as bio information scaled over to the left, offering a whole lot more real estate that has been dedicated to the header photo. This is a stark departure from Twitter’s signature look and feel, with more focus being placed on photos and content cards. Apart from that, this Twitter profile redesign would be making a move away from the vertical timeline. It is not uncommon for Twitter to test out their new features and redesign on the quiet, before introducing it to the masses after making the necessary tweaks.

So, one of the biggest questions of 2014 (so far, anyways) on peoples’ lips would be this, “Why did he take down Flappy Bird?” ‘Tis not so much of a mystery, as Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen did so for our own good, since he knows just how addictive the game can get. Having said that, Flappy Bird fever is not over yet, as plenty of clones have appeared on the likes of the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Pebble Appstore, too. eBay has also pulled listings of handsets that have Flappy Bird installed since some of them have been listed for a crazy prices. So far, there are over 81 Flappy clones and counting. Why not throw in one more clone into the mix? Careto Malware Discovered After Being Circulated For Nearly 7 Years

Careto Malware Discovered After Being Circulated For Nearly 7 YearsThe Careto malware has been running around quietly, doing its work undercover for nearly seven years before being discovered. In fact, security firm Kaspersky Labs did introduce a research paper which uncovered the existence of Careto, which managed to remain undetected all this while since it has proven to be a highly complex malware. Known as “The Mask” in English (based on a loose translation) , Careto will snoop around high-level targets such as government institutions, embassies and large energy corporations. According to Kaspersky in a PDF file, “The Mask” has quite an extensive reach, claiming nearly 380 unique victims already with over 1,000 IPs along the way across 31 countries. Some of these countries would include the movers and shakers of the world, such as China, France, Germany, the UK and the U.S.

Firefox Has New Tab Page Ads For Sale

Firefox Has New Tab Page Ads For SaleAds, ads everywhere! We simply cannot avoid the presence of advertisements no matter where we turn to, although some of the ads we have seen in the past are really cool. Since one is unable to escape from the presence of ads, why not embrace them instead? Ads on the computer are nothing new, and we now have word that Mozilla Firefox’s New Tab page will soon feature paid advertisements. This is a slight paradigm shift for sure, considering how New Tab pages have remained ad-free before. What you see above is not the real deal, but rather, a mock-up from Mozilla themselves that depict how it intends to incorporate sponsored sites into its New Tab page, so that new users will find their first experience more useful. Oh yeah, it ain’t all that altruistic either, as it opens up the door to make some money on the side as well.

Mac Pro Shipping Estimates Slip To April

Mac Pro Shipping Estimates Slip To AprilApple’s new Mac Pro was launched in December 2013 but thanks to production issues, customers looking to get their hands on the new computers would have to wait. Last we heard, shipping times slipped to March and now according to reports, it seems that if you wanted a new Mac Pro, you’d have to wait at least until April before you would be able to get it. The shipping times initially slipped to April for international releases, but it was shortly after that US shipping times also slipped to an estimated April release as well.

It is unclear as to why Apple is facing such long delays with its Mac Pro shipments, but presumably because it might have something to do with their new factory that was setup in Texas. The Mac Pro will be the first Apple computer in a while to be assembled in the US, so we’re guessing that there could be some kinks in the production that Apple has yet to iron out, versus other companies such as Foxconn who haven’t had much trouble putting Apple products together. Now the good news is that if you wanted a custom Mac Pro, the custom configuration does not delay your shipment any further, so thats something to be thankful for, right?

    Icelanders To Get Free Auroracoins

Icelanders To Get Free AuroracoinsJust what is the measure of a great government? Why, one that takes good care of the people in their midst, of course. We have word that this coming March 24th would see every single registered legal citizen of Iceland to be able to lay claim to a bunch of Auroracoins without having to fork out a single cent. Yes sir, there might be no free lunch in the world these days, but this does not mean that one will no longer be able to claim other free items – what more from the government of the day. Before we proceed, let us define Auroracoins – they happen to be a virtual crypto-currency that is similar to and based on Bitcoin, where the latter has gotten itself into the news recently, too.
