ICE xPC Is A Modular PC

ICE xPC Is A Modular PCFirst of all, the ICE xPC is no ordinary machine when you take a closer look at it. After all, it tips the scales at a mere 4 ounces, where the physical size itself is so tiny, that it will be able to fit into your shirt pocket without missing a beat. Apart from that, the ICE xPC can be docked into peripherals, allowing it to transform into an intelligent core of a pad, notebook, desktop, or gaming device. The xPC itself has been specially constructed for performance and it will come with a high-performance motherboard, the most recent x86 CPU/chipset, 4GB RAM, anywhere from 64GB to a 128G SSD, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, an accelerometer and a camera.

Hackintosh Mac Pro Made From A Real Trash Can

Hackintosh Mac Pro Made From A Real Trash CanThe new Apple Mac Pro is admittedly a very interesting computer to look at. There are some out there who love the cylindrical design, calling it futuristic, while others might criticize it, likening it to trash cans or cooking equipment. However it was the latter that had one German thinking, why not, which resulted in him creating his own Hackintosh out of an actual trash can (the Authentics Lunar bathroom trash can, for those who are wondering), which we have to say could almost pass off as the real thing upon first glance! Heck, he even painted it red which reminds us of Jony Ive’s special edition Mac Pro that was put up on auction a few months ago.

Granted the innards might not be as beautifully designed or laid out compared to the real Mac Pro, but we guess therein lies the beauty of Hackintosh computers as it allows users to customize their computers to their heart’s desire, and sometimes cheaper than the real deal as well. However in this case, the end result was not as powerful as the new Mac Pro but should be enough to get the job done. The specs of the computer includes a Intel Core i3 processor (Haswell), a Gigabyte Z87N motherboard with WiFi, an AMD Radeon 7750 GPU, an SSD and a HDD, and an ATX PSU to help power the entire setup. If you’d like to see more photos and try to build your own Hackintosh, head on over here for the details.

HP Chromebook 11 LTE Available Now For $379

HP Chromebook 11 LTE Available Now For $379

There is no doubt in the fact that Chromebooks have gained a lot of popularity over the past year, which has resulted into a surge in sales. According to a report, Chromebooks accounted for over 21 percent of all U.S. notebook shipments in 2013. A new crop of Chrome OS powered notebooks were unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show last week, so customers are definitely spoilt for choice. Though there aren’t many options for those who would prefer LTE compatible Chromebooks, which is why they’ll like the HP Chromebook 11 LTE.

The LTE compatible variant of HP Chromebook 11 is now available for purchase. Best Buy has it listed on its website for $379. Its compatible with Verizon’s long-term evolution network, the carrier claims it has the largest LTE network in the U.S. HP Chromebook 11 LTE is priced $100 more than the Wi-Fi only variant, customers probably won’t mind paying the premium if they really want to have another connectivity option on hand if there’s no Wi-Fi available. For those who don’t know, Chrome OS is heavily dependant on internet, Chromebooks require internet connectivity, else there’s not much that they can do. Customers who are looking for Wi-Fi only Chromebooks have a lot of options, including the latest C720 Chromebook that Acer unveiled at CES 2014.

CompuLab IPC2 Does Not Look Like A PC At All

CompuLab IPC2 Does Not Look Like A PC At AllCompuLab’s Intense PC was quite a looker when it first shipped with the Intel Sandy Bridge processor family, and so it is nice to hear that the IPC 2 is now on the receiving end of the faster and more efficient Haswell processor range, which inadvertently makes the IPC2 a whole lot more powerful and efficient compared to its predecessor. On the outside, however, you might be hard-pressed to believe that anything has changed since it looks just the same, as though it was some sort of weird design hybrid that was inspired by elements of a cable modem and a heatsink rather than your regular desktop machine. The fins on the outside will help dissipate heat, which is a big deal since this is a fanless machine – which means it will run in a whisper quiet manner.

What computers see when they watch movies

When we watch movies, we pay attention to specific parts of the scene and focus on different actors and look at certain things on the screen. Most of what we see is influenced by what the directors want us to see, our attentions are easy to grab after all. So what if you showed the same movie to computers? What would they see? How would the movies look to them?

Chrome 32s Release Brings Chrome OS like UI To Windows 8Microsoft’s Windows operating system and Google’s Chrome OS can be considered rivals of sorts, but it looks like Google might have fired the first shot as they have officially released the final version of Chrome 32 for Windows 8 after it had been in beta for a fairly lengthy period of time. If you’re thinking isn’t Chrome already available on Windows 8? Well yes it is, but with the release of Chrome 32, Google is releasing a version of their Chrome browser that basically looks like Chrome OS is running within the Windows 8 operating system, which some are calling a true Trojan Horse on Google’s part. Twitter Gets Facelift For Web Version

Twitter Gets Facelift For Web VersionEvery once in a while, it makes perfect sense for a particular software or app to receive an update, or a revamp for that matter. After all, one would need to keep up with the times, don’t you think so? It is also not that nice to lose out in the cosmetics arms race, so to speak, to your rivals, and having the same old look for a few years is considered to be a drag, especially when one is involved in the fast paced world of information technology. As for the folks over at Twitter, they have decided to settle on a more uniform look across its Web and app versions, and that would mean making sure that the former is updated.
