Twizy Renault Sport F1 Concept

Twizy Renault Sport F1 ConceptWhen you cast your glance in the direction of the Twizy Renault Sport F1 concept, chances are you would have to take a moment to wipe off the drool from the side of your mouth. It is said that the Twizy Renault Sport F1 concept is a “bridge between the world of F1 technology and that of production cars.” Renault is a Formula 1 legend that has taken a 17-horsepower electric Twizy, where the back seat has been replaced with an 80-hp KERS unit, similar to the ones that it rolls out for its F1 customer teams. Apart from that, the inclusion of tires from a Formula 2 Renault and a steering wheel that was derived from a Formula 3.5 Renault would also adorn this concept, where all of those are accompanied by a front splitter, sidepods and open-wheeler mirrors.

A couple of KERS modes are available for the driver to use, where the first would be the Recovery mode which relies on the Twizy’s main 17-hp electric motor in order to recoup energy. After all, the city car is unable to produce enough energy via braking to repower the KERS unit. As for the other mode, it is known as the Boost mode, where it enables a 13-second burst that relies on a combination of 97 horsepower alongside a couple of motors. This enables the Twizy to make a dash from 0-60 miles per hour in six seconds.

2013 Toyota Me.We Concept Looks Like An Elongated Mini

2013 Toyota Me.We Concept Looks Like An Elongated MiniI am not quite sure about you, but does the Toyota Me.We concept 2013 that you see above somehow seem to remind you of a far more rugged and “fierce” model of the Mini from BMW, albeit sporting a more elongated chassis? The entire Toyota Me.We concept has to do with a collaboration between French designer Jean-Marie Massaud and the Japanese automotive giant, of course.

First unveiled at Le Rendez-vous Toyota in Paris, the Me.We Concept intends to have one imagine a ride which can be appreciated by owners regardless of the kind of lifestyle that they live, all the while paying close attention to the kind of environment that one lives in, doing the best at all times to ensure that there is a future planet for our children to live on. The Toyota Me.We concept is highly customizable thanks to removable body panels, and throwing in an extendable rear panel would see it function as a pickup, or you can turn it into a convertible with a neoprene roof panel. Do you think that the Me.We concept can take off if realized?

iOS 7 Concept Improves Contacts App With Attached Photos

Apple announced the dates for this year’s WWDC earlier today which they also announced they will be using the show to give an in-depth look at the next version of both iOS and OS X. We’ve seen some great iOS 7 concepts in the past, one of which reimagines the lock screen, text messaging and more, but a new concept has caught our attention today for what is being imagined for some of iOS’ most notable apps.

The iOS 7 concept comes to us by Rafael Justino and takes a look at a re-imagined Clock, Voice Memo, Weather and Calculator app. Some of the improvements look to be a simple change in the app’s overall color scheme, but his concept for the Contacts app is one I could certainly get behind. Being able to see attached photos of your contacts straight from the start of the Contacts app will certainly help in recognizing a person, especially if you have a long list of names.

LEGO Adventure Time Tree Fort Concept: Architectural!

Cuusoo member Jazlecraz wants LEGO to make a set based on the happiest post-apocalyptic cartoon  ever made: Adventure Time. The set consists of two versions of the Tree Fort, home to lead characters Jake the Dog and Finn the Human Minifigure.

The larger version of the Tree Fort is made of 1,300 pieces and is hollow, meaning you can look inside and play with the different rooms and furniture. It also comes with Finn and Jake minifigs. Then there’s the Micro Tree Fort, which is just made of 400 pieces but is still recognizable. It also comes with Finn and Jake microfigures.

Jazlecraz is also thinking of additional characters to include in the set – you can see the Ice King’s already representing the sort of bad guys of Ooo. Wield your mouse cursor sword and vote for the concept on Cuusoo.

Mercedes-Benz GLA concept sports laser video projector headlights

Mercedes-Benz likes to keep this high-tech and modern with their vehicles, so naturally it makes sense that the company’s latest concept — the GLA — has laser projection headlights capable of beaming videos. The CUV is set to make an appearance at the Shanghai Motor Show next week, but it seems the company wanted to tease it first before its official unveiling.

Mercedes-Benz GLA Showcar; 2013

The laser projection headlights are something of amazement it seems, and thanks to some pretty nifty technology that’s built right into the headlights, drivers can project any image or video onto a screen. The images or video can come from a phone, tablet, flash drive, or even the internet using the GLA’s in-dash COMAND system.

However, Mercedes didn’t add projection to the GLA just for kicks and giggles — there is a logical purpose behind this, and the company says the projection system can be used as a real-time GPS navigation overlay.  It’s certainly something different then just looking at a small GPS screen during the whole trip.

The headlights feature a cooling system composed of a series of fans, so you won’t have to worry about the inevitable overheating of most projectors. Plus, there’s even a pair of HD video cameras mounted to the roof of the vehicle, and they’re detachable so you can take them with you when you’re not driving around. As for the engine specs, you’re looking at a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder motor pushing out 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.

The Collapse Mini Concept Combines Wireless Charging And Wireless Audio Streaming Into One

The Collapse Mini Concept Combines Wireless Charging And Wireless Audio Streaming Into OneFor those who are looking to get the best of both worlds, this concept wireless speaker slash table might be worth taking a look at. Dubbed the Collapse Mini, this concept was designed by Matteo Massimi and basically combines a set of speakers into a table, meaning that you will able to place things like books, keys, your wallet and etc. on top of it, while at the same time pair your phone with the device to have music play from it. As you can see in the picture above, it seems to blend in pretty well with the rest of the furniture and upon first glance you wouldn’t think it is a speaker.

According to its designer, pairing your phone with the speaker is simple. Instead of fiddling with configurations and setting up the connection, all you’d have to do is place the phone on top of its glass surface and it will start syncing and playing music from your phone! An interesting feature is that you can control the music on your phone by rotating the phone to adjust the volume. To top it off, it seems that the Collapse Mini will also be able to charge your phone at the same time, providing both wireless audio streaming and wireless charging. Pretty cool, huh?

This Fully Loaded, Column of a Kitchen Is Actually Becoming a Real Thing

With populations growing and cities overcrowding, space-saving designs are amassing a huge, highly lucrative following. The only problem is that they often stay just that—designs. Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Shows What Could Have Been

Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Shows What Could Have BeenWhile the Samsung Galaxy S4 is by no means an ugly phone, it’s not exactly the best-looking one either, although we guess that will depend on preference. Either way it is safe to assume that many had expect a major redesign of the phone given the hype and anticipation surrounding it, and for those who don’t find the Galaxy S4’s design particularly striking or memorable, here’s a concept that you might dig. Put together by Florin Kumnova (via Behance), this is a Galaxy S4 concept we can definitely get behind on.

The hardware specs of the phone remain the same as the retail model, with the notable differences being in its design. As you can see, this concept will feature an edge-to-edge display which looks stunning, while keeping the bezels as thin as possible. It retains the home button, although it admittedly looks a bit squashed. We’re not sure what materials the design has gone with, but based on the glossy finish we’re guessing plastic. Kumnova did state that he drew inspiration from previous Galaxy phones and rightfully so as this is somewhat reminiscent of the Galaxy S2, just with a much larger display. What do you guys think?

iPhone 6 Concept Video

Since we have already taken a look at how a conceptual iOS 7 would look like, how about stretching the truth a little bit further and settle for a conceptual version of the iPhone from Apple, too? Since the iPhone 5 has been out for some time already with the iPhone 5S being touted to be rolled out later this year, it goes without saying that the next concept will have to logically take on the next number in an upward progression, and thanks to the work of designer Ran Avni, here we are with a video of what he has called the iPhone 6.

The video does seem to depict the iPhone 6 in a form factor that will not be unfamiliar to the folks who already own the iPhone 5, although one major design revamp would be the display size that has been stretched all the way from 4” to 4.5”, which will still be unable to compete with the phablets that run on the Android operating system, but more visual real estate is always nice to have. Not only that, it is also said to be thinner and boasts of a smaller body compared to the iPhone 5, thanks to the removal of the home button.
