CyberpowerPC introduces Zeus Mini SFF series

zeus-mini-sffCyberpowerPC has come up with their all new Zeus Mini SFF (small form factor) series of PCs, where there will be eight different pre-built models for you to choose from. As long as you have a budget that suits that particular model, you’re good to go. Depending on the model that you pick, it will cost anywhere from $599 all the way to $1,479, and will pack a choice of either AMD or Intel processing power which should be able to rival any full-size desktop PC.

Choices, choices. Life is full of them, and with the new Zeus Mini SFF PCs, it will be between a choice of three AMD’s Kaveri A-series processor models (Zeus Mini-A), or five different 4th Generation Intel Core processor models (Zeus Mini-I) which will begin from a Core i5-4440 all the way to a blazing fast Core i7-4770K at 3.50GHz. All of the processors in the Zeus Mini series have been mounted to a Mini ITX motherboard that come packed with the latest AMD and Intel chipset, ensuring that you will also be able to enjoy the latest technologies such as 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity and PCI Express 3.0 among others. Both of the processor options will include multi-core support and dual-channel DDR3 gaming performance, sporting a minimum of 8GB memory (RAM) which can be further expanded all the way to 16GBs.

Do not be fooled by the relatively small size of the Zeus Mini SFF PC, it is still capable of supporting full-size dual GPU video cards (!) in order to make sure that whatever game you intend to play will be able to be done in full graphical glory. You can choose between the following options – AMD Radeon R7 and R9 series for Zeus Mini-A models, while Intel-featured models will comprise of the Intel HD 4600 GPU or NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX Series graphics with Kepler GPU architecture.

As for storage, fret not – the Zeus Mini would deliver ample storage space from 500GB to 2TB SATA III 7200RPM hard drives, alongside an 8X Slim DVD/RW optical drive that is available on all models. If you’re going to pick up a SFF PC this year to complement your living room entertainment options, the Zeus Mini SFF does make plenty of sense – financially and from a gaming perspective.

CyberPowerPC Fang Battle Box: Rig in a Box

Portable gaming computers are nothing new. Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards let you create relatively light and compact rigs, though often at the expense of hardware specs. In an attempt to come up with a perfect compromise between power and portability, CyberPowerPC decided to emulate a briefcase for its upcoming LAN-ready rig, the Fang Battle Box.

The Fang Battle Box uses a Mini-ITX Z87 motherboard but is roomy enough to accommodate components that you’d normally reserve on your main computer, including powerful but bulky graphics cards. Like a briefcase, you can gawk at the Battle Box’s internals by unlocking its latch, although I’m not sure if you can easily swap its components as well.

CyberPowerPC will let you customize the specs of the Battle Box when you place your order, that much is certain.

Other neat touches on the Battle Box include two USB 3.0 ports placed near its handle  –beside its power and reset switches – and large rubber feet on its underside.

I bet Ben Heck would love to put a screen on this and make the world’s fattest laptop. There’s no word on the base price for the Fang Battle Box, but it will be available for order from CyberPowerPC within the year’s first quarter.

CYBERPOWERPC Fang Series Takes On The Mobile Route

CYBERPOWERPC Fang Series Takes On The Mobile Route[CES 2014] At this year’s CES, we have seen how the folks over at CYBERPOWERPC intend to bring gaming to the next level. First of all, they have already unveiled the Steam OS powered gaming system, and this time around, there is the new Fang Series which is a unique custom design Battle Box. This particular Battle Box happens to be a mobile gaming system which will feature a one-of-a-kind design, and comes across as a full performance gaming rig which allows you to bring it just about anywhere and everywhere. Hmmm, sounds like an extremely souped up Nintendo 3DS? Not really, but I am quite sure that you do get the idea. This particular compact gaming box will feature support for full size graphics cards that will include the AMD R9 series and NVIDIA GTX 700 series.

Apart from that, the Fang Battle Box will also feature support for liquid cooling, perfect for the overclocker or enthusiast who wants to see their CPU being pushed to the maximum levels. What do you think of the CYBERPOWERPC Fang Series, and will it be a new addition to your collection of gaming rigs in your living room or bedroom? cyberpowerpc 620x391magnify

Do we call these gaming PCs or consoles? Well, however they get labeled, they feature Bluetooth, WiFi, USB 3.0, 8GB of RAM and they come with a Steam Controller. Steam Machine A is the cheaper of the pair, with a 3.9GHz A6 CPU from AMD and a 2GB Radeon R9 270 graphics card. It’s pretty basic, but should be all you need for most modern games.

The Steam Machine I is the higher end model, with a 3.5GHz Core i3 and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics, as well as 802.11ac Wi-Fi. This configuration has a starting price of $699. CyberPower is allowing customers to customize almost every facet of the machine too, so you can get pretty expensive if you go all out. Both machines are expected to ship in the second half of this year. Happy gaming.

After you play on these Steam machines, you can use the other kind to clean up all of your Cheetos dust and Mountain Dew from the carpet.

CyberpowerPC introduces Fang Taipan M2 gaming laptop

fang-taipan-m2Most gamers worth their salt would definitely want nothing but the very best hardware for their gaming needs, and I suppose this is a subconscious way of ensuring that should you fail to make that particular play or shot in the game itself, the blame can be shifted to the hardware – or rather, its lack of proficiency. Well, CyberpowerPC must have done plenty of soul searching to ensure that whoever brings home the Fang Taipan M2 gaming laptop will have no more excuse other than the lack of gaming talent whenever they do not make the cut.

The Fang Taipan M2 gaming laptop is a gaming laptop that comes in just one way: that is, your way. It can be customized for just about every buyer using the latest in-game technology, and depending on the reserves of “poison” (read: money) that you have, that will result in the kind of innards that the Fang Taipan M2 comes with. For starters, in terms of its GPU, you can choose from dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M in SLI mode or dual AMD Radeon HD 8970M in CrossFire mode. Not only that, the Fang Taipan M2 will also breeze along steadily thanks to the Intel Core i7-4930MX Extreme Edition CPU, where it is capable of supporting up to 32GBs of dual-channel, high-performance Kingston HyperX or Corsair Vengeance memory.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and e-SATA interfaces, where the lightning-fast Thunderbolt input will ensure that you get to enjoy the ultimate in connection speed, not to mention boasting rear and front-facing cameras. As for the keyboard itself, it is color-programmable and has responsive tactile feedback so that you get to enjoy enhanced gaming capability. Your eyes will be pleased to take full advantage of the Full HD 17.3″(16:9) LED-backlit display at 1920×1080 resolution, while your ears will enjoy a perfect sound setup thanks to an Onkyo speaker system that is supported by premium Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 audio technology. The starting price point for the Fang Taipan M2 would be $1,869 and the sky’s the limit.

Fang Taipan M2 Gaming Laptop From CyberPowerPC Announced

Fang Taipan M2 Gaming Laptop From CyberPowerPC AnnouncedGamers are extremely particular about the kind of innards that their hardware comes with, and if one has the time and money, they would prefer to build a gaming PC from scratch using all the parts that they would like to have (and can afford, of course), instead of getting a pre-configured machine. A laptop, however, might be a wee bit more tricky, but CyberPowerPC’s unveiling of the Fang Taipan M2 gaming laptop might just turn the tables in a Burger King manner, where you can “have it your way”.

Why do we say so? For starters, the Fang Taipan M2 prides itself in being a gaming laptop that can be customized by each purchaser. Take the number of GPUs that you can opt from – dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M in SLI mode and dual AMD Radeon HD 8970M in CrossFire mode is not out of the question, while the Fang Taipan M2 will also be able to accommodate the Intel Core i7-4930MX Extreme Edition CPU, although others might settle for something less. Memory-wise, how about support for up to 32GBs of dual-channel, high-performance Kingston HyperX or Corsair Vengeance Memory? Your eyes will be pleased to see the Full HD 17.3″(16:9) LED-backlit display in action, while your ears are treated to audio from an Onkyo speaker system which is supported by premium Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 audio technology. The base price for the Fang Taipan M2 starts at $1,869 and goes north from there, depending on your choice of parts within.
