Dell Venue 8 Pro Receives New BIOS UpdateThe Dell Venue 8 Pro has just picked up its fifth BIOS version, and so far from what we have gathered on the ground, it does seem as though response to this BIOS version has been positive – which is a good thing, of course. Those who have given it a go have reported that the battery life has lasted longer than normal, although there were some pockets of users who did report that they have decided to stick to the third version of the BIOS because the updates since then have one nothing but to decrease battery life according to their experience.

Adopting a TN panel, this new 28-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 3840 x 2160 4K native resolution, 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms (GTG) response time and 160/170 degree viewing angles, and has mini DisplayPort, DisplayPort, HDMI/MHL and USB 3.0 connectors.     Dell Interested In Bringing Wireless Charging To Laptops

    The concept of wireless charging can be applied to bigger devices as well, including laptops and even some appliances, but for now this technology has largely remained limited to smartphones. The Alliance for Wireless Power today announced that Dell has come onboard as a member, and will take part in their initiative to bring wireless charging to larger products. As previously mentioned, its not impossible to bring wireless charging to laptops, and Dell appears to be really interested in actually implementing the technology in its laptops somewhere down the line.
