Han Solo Carbonite Door Decal is Perfect for a Hutt Kids Room

One of my favorite moments from the Star Wars movies is when Han Solo gets encased in carbonite for his trip to Jabba the Hutt. We have seen plenty of products over the years featuring the likeness of Han Solo stuck in his carbonite tomb. One of the coolest was the carbonite desk .

While it’s not as cool as the desk, you can actually own this Han Solo in carbonite door sticker. The sticker looks like its 3D with Solo’s hands really sticking out of it, but it’s flat.

The sticker is easily removable according to the product page and can be reapplied to another door once removed. It sounds like this is sort of along the lines of a Fathead wall sticker. The only downside I see is that if your doors have any indented pattern on them, this won’t work, though you could always just stick it on your wall.

The Han Solo in carbonite sticker is available on Amazon for about $100(USD). Just be on the lookout for Boushh, or Han might escape from your trophy wall.

Convertible Piv-O Stroller Grows with Your Child

Babies are expensive. Not the actual babies (of course, nobody goes shopping for babies. And if they do, that’s illegal) but the cost of raising them and providing them with not only their needs, but their wants as well.

Strollers are a must-have for every parent, unless they can carry their child for hours on end when they’re out and about. As with most gear that’s made for kids, your child will outgrow the stroller in a matter of years. If you want more bang for your buck, then you should check out the Piv-O stroller.

The Piv-O Stroller was designed by Luis Pereira Twist. It’s a convertible stroller that can later be transformed into a walker and then a tricycle, which means you’ll be able to use it for the majority of your child’s early years.

The bad news? It’s still a concept design for now, but hopefully someone out there will pick up on it.

Spike Away Vest Preserves Your Personal Space in Public Places

There are days when you want to be with people. There are times when you just want to be alone. So when people overstep boundaries and cross the line into your personal space when you’re in the latter mood, it gets more than just annoying.

Prevent that from happening ever again – at least, in the physical sense – with the Spike Away vest.

As the name implies, the entire vest is riddled with spikes. It’ll turn heads, but it’ll keep people away because it frankly looks scary and will probably cause a lot of pain if you bump into it head-on. The piece was created by Singapore industrial designer Siew Ming Cheng, who used off the shelf materials, including strips designed to keep pests out of gardens to make the prototype.

Cheng explained: “Trains are usually crowded during peak hours. Everybody will push each other to try and get onto the train. How can I protect my personal space? The idea was then conceived.”

While the Spike Away is just a one-off concept at this point, Cheng could sell millions of these to daily commuters – especially if the spikes were sharper.

This Magical Table's Electromagnetic Field Turns On Nearby Light Bulbs

Hold a fluorescent light bulb near this table, and the filament will suddenly flicker on. It looks like magic, but it’s simple science: An embedded circuit produces an electromagnetic field that acts on the mercury gas inside the bulbs, making them glow as if they’re plugged in.

Surreal Exhibition Explores Half-Finished and Incomplete Products

Ever wonder what a French Horn looks like before it gets completely twisted? Or a soda can before it gets a top and a tab? In the Making, an upcoming exhibition at London’s Design Museum curated by British design golden boys Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, will present a range of familiar products in various states of not-quite-finished-yet to give a glimpse at the industrial goings-ons before an item hits the shelf.

Hammer in Hand Is a Handle and a Window Breaker in One

You never know when you might need to leave a bus or a train by window. Accidents could happen. A fire could break out on board. A gun man could be threatening every passenger.

It’s often during times like this (or right after) that people would wish they had come up with something that could’ve helped the people on board out.

Hammer in Handmagnify

Designer Shi Qiang did just that with the Hammer in Hand concept design. It’s essentially a handle that doubles as a sturdy hammer that can be used to break the windows. Since it’s embedded in the hammer, people wouldn’t have to waste precious time trying to look for something they can use to to break the glass.Hammer in Hand1magnify

There would obviously be more handles than there are windows, so most passengers can grab one, break the glass, and exit the vehicle to safety.

This Wonderful Cardboard Robot Proves the Box Is Always More Fun

There’s a long running joke that kids would rather play with the cardboard box than the toy inside. And that’s especially true if that cardboard can then be transformed into an articulated 20-inch tall robot like our friend here.
