Diablo 3 Nephalem Rifts Cleared In Under 4 Minutes

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls went live at the business tail end of last month, and you can be sure that fans of the video game franchise have taken to it with aplomb. Obviously, us humans have this innate need to strive to be the very best, and such a trait also shows up in the world of video games. In Reaper of Souls, gamers were treated to huge, randomized dungeons that are known as the Nephalem Rifts, and you won’t find these to be a Shangri-La for sure. A run in one of those dungeons would normally take more than 10 minutes, give or take, depending on the difficulty level. Check out the video above that shows off a Korean gamer who managed to complete a relatively large dungeon in less than 4 minutes, and on Torment difficulty to boot.

Yong Jun Cho aka nixell won third place with his badass Monk art, Fist of Conviction. This is actually my favorite among the three.

Use this waypoint to deviantART to check out what Christian had to say about each winning artwork, and be sure to admire them in their full resolution on their respective artists’ pages. I highly recommend looking at the other submissions as well.

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Shifts 2.7 Million Copies So Far, Digital And Physical Versions Combined

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Shifts 2.7 Million Copies So Far, Digital And Physical Versions CombinedTo say that Blizzard is a successful games publishing company would be an understatement. An extremely toned down understatement, I might add. The company is well known for its fair number of meticulously crafted hits, and most of the time, these hit titles will continue from where it left off previously. Take the hack-and-slash dungeon crawler RPG for instance – Diablo has been keeping players on their toes against the forces of evil, first in Tristram all those years ago, until now with Diablo 3. In fact, Blizzard claims that Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls has sold more than 2.7 million digital as well as physical copies online and at retail stores to date.

Blizzard Evaluating Diablo 3′s Future After Reaper Of Souls Release

Blizzard Evaluating Diablo 3s Future After Reaper Of Souls ReleaseAs you might have heard, Blizzard has recently released the latest Diablo 3 expansion, Reaper of Souls. We also expect that gamers have probably raced all the way to the end, killed the boss, and hit level 70, so apart from farming and getting good loot, what else is in store for gamers who love the Diablo franchise?

Well according to the game’s lead producer, Alex Mayberry, it seems that Blizzard is still a little uncertain about the future of the game. Speaking to Videogamer, Mayberry revealed that Blizzard is still evaluating whether or not they will be making a new expansion for the game or release an entirely new Diablo game istead. (more…)

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Is Now Live

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Is Now LiveWhen Diablo 3 was first released, many gamers complained about it. There were many factors that led to gamers’ dissatisfaction, such as the poor item drops which not only were hard to come by (in terms of higher level legendary items), but when they did drop, their stats sometimes were irrelevant to the character, like an Intelligence drop for a Barbarian class.

There was also the issue of the Auction House which led to gamers purchasing gold to build up their characters as opposed to farming for loot, which was kind of the point in the first place. Blizzard has since taken steps to fix those issues and with Reaper of Souls, perhaps the game will be able to live up to expectations. (more…)

According to Mayberry, “I don’t know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can’t really comment on what that contract looks like.” However he did acknowledge that the game for the Xbox One platform is in development, “The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. Diablo 3 Auction House Finally Goes Offline

Diablo 3 Auction House Finally Goes OfflineAs Diablo 3 gamers have probably heard by now, the Auction House will be closing on the 18th of March and true to their word, it looks like Blizzard has since taken steps to deactivate the Auction House.

As you can see in the image above, Blizzard has kept the Auction House up and running but has since removed the ability to bid, buyout, or to list new auctions. Essentially what the Auction House is good for now is to help clear up any remaining auctions that are still running at the moment. (more…)
