New Diablo Collectible Statue Has Light Up Features

New Diablo Collectible Statue Has Light Up FeaturesBlizzard’s Diablo character has taken several different forms over the past few games, and with each game Diablo gets more and more terrifying. If you’re a fan of the latest iteration of Diablo, you will now be able to purchase a two-foot replica of the demon thanks to the folks at Sideshow Collectibles. The collectible was designed by Sideshow and Blizzard, and if you thought a two-foot replica would be pretty terrifying, the kicker is that the statue will be able to light up (as pictured above), making it even more fearsome.

The statue has been made from high quality polystone and is placed on a dais of sorts and is pretty darn detailed. So how much will this awesome statue cost you? Well given the fact that it is extremely detailed and even comes with light-up features, do not expect it to come cheap as Sideshow Collectibles has stuck a $349.99 price tag on it. If you’d like to check out more photos or place an order for yourself, hit up their website for the details. Any takers?

Diablo 3 For The PS3 Reportedly Suffering From Low Frame Rates

Diablo 3 For The PS3 Reportedly Suffering From Low Frame RatesWe’re sure many gamers are excited to get their hands on Diablo 3 for the console, but it seems that gamers who were expecting a smooth game might be in for disappointment. While Diablo 3 for the PlayStation 3 was originally expected to run at 60FPS, a report from GamesReviews has revealed that there are occasions that the game’s frame rate drops pretty quickly and drastically, with some users reporting that they have experienced frame rates as low at 20FPS. Granted 20FPS isn’t completely horrible and is still somewhat playable, it’s not an enjoyable gaming experience, and definitely not one gamers who have expected on the PlayStation 3.

As for the Xbox 360 version of the game, the reports have generally been positive and except for a few hiccups, the game’s frame rate remain smoothed and constant through. We’re not sure if this is an issue with the PS3 that Blizzard will be able to address in a patch, but what do you guys think? Any of our readers experience similar frame rate drops during their session of Diablo 3 on their PlayStation 3? Let us know in the comments below!

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Beta Could Be Released In 2013

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Beta Could Be Released In 2013With Diablo 3’s Reaper of Souls expansion having been announced last week and with a possible 2014 release, we’re sure there are gamers out there who are looking forward to getting their hands on the game’s beta, which presumably would be released in both closed and open betas, although the question is when? Well the semi-good news is that if you were looking forward to a Reaper of Souls beta in 2013, you might just have your wish come true. This is according to a Korean video interview by Players Cuts in which they asked the game’s director, Josh Mosqueira if there was any hope that a beta could be released this year.

Mosqueira answered with a simple “yes” which seems like good news, although like we said earlier, this beta could be a closed one meaning that it might not be available to the public. Instead a closed beta could mean that only a select few gamers will get to try the game. Of course we expect Blizzard will open up the beta to the public at a later date which they did with Diablo 3, but 2013’s beta could be a closed one, so don’t get your hopes up just yet. In any case we expect more information to be made available during BlizzCon 2013, so if you’re looking forward to more Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls info, check back with us then for the details!

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls For Console Teased

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls For Console TeasedLast week during gamescom 2013 in Germany, Blizzard took the wraps off their latest game, Diablo 3’s expansion, the Reaper of Souls. As it stands the game has been pegged for a release in 2014 according to its website, and while we guess that seems like a reasonable time to wait, what about consoles gamers? When, if at all, will they see the Reaper of Souls make its way onto the console platform? While Blizzard might have announced Diablo 3 for the console,  they have yet to announce if the expansion would arrive for the console as well.

The good news for console gamers is that the expansion is likely to arrive for consoles, although when exactly remains to be seen. This was teased by the game’s director, Josh Mosqueira, during an interview with Polygon. According to Mosqueira, “We’ve got Diablo 3 on PC, we released it and then a small team splintered off to work on Diablo for the current consoles. Now the team’s really focused on Reaper of Souls for PC […] So if you look at the past, you can probably infer what the future might bring.” This is probably as close to a confirmation as we can get, but it’s still somewhat good news nonetheless.

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Pegged For 2014 Release + Box Art

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Pegged For 2014 Release + Box ArtYesterday Blizzard announced the new Diablo 3 expansion, Reaper of Souls, but unfortunately what the developer failed to mention was its release date. Well for those wondering when they might be able to get their hands on the game, it seems that if you were hoping for a 2013 release you might be disappointed as it looks like 2014 has been revealed to be its release. The date, along with the box art of the game, has been spotted at the bottom of the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls page with the tagline reading, “Coming 2014”. Unfortunately no specific dates has been mentioned, meaning that we could expect to see it anytime from early 2014, to the end of 2014, but either way gamers will be in for a wait.

Given that Blizzard has also been known to push back releases to fine tune and polish up their games to meet their quality standards, we wouldn’t be completely surprised if the 2014 date is a “flexible” one. In any case this is an expansion that we’re sure Diablo 3 gamers are looking forward to as not only does it introduce a new character class in the form of the Crusader, but Blizzard has also introduced a new act, a new final boss, along with a host of changes made to the looting system that hopefully will make the grind a little more bearable.

Diablo 3′s PVP Feature Has To Be “Blizzard Quality” Before It Is Released

Diablo 3s PVP Feature Has To Be Blizzard Quality Before It Is ReleasedOne of the features that Blizzard announced for Diablo 3 would be its PVP mode. Unfortunately with several patches later and with the Reaper of Souls expansion being announced, the PVP mode is still a no-show, although Blizzard did attempt to pacify gamers with a dueling mode, which let’s be honest is not quite the same thing. In any case what happened to the feature? Will it ever see the light of day or will it eventually fade away into memory? Well the good news is that it has not been completely abandoned, but the bad news is that Blizzard is still working on it. (more…)

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Expansion Announced With Trailers

Good news gamers! If you have been waiting for a Diablo 3 expansion, it is now official as Blizzard has formally announced that Reaper of Souls will be the new Diablo 3 expansion! The expansion will introduce a new Crusader class, bringing the total number of playable classes to 6. The Crusader has also been seen as the Paladin for Diablo 3 who will also be getting both melee and ranged skills, with Fist of the Heavens being one of them.

The expansion will also see an increase of the level cap to 70 which is up from 60 for the original game. Unsurprisingly the expansion will also introduce a new act and will introduce a new final boss in the form of Malthael. So who is this Malthael character? (more…)

Diablo 3 Expansion Trailer At But Confirmed For Debut At Gamescom

Diablo 3 Expansion Trailer At But Confirmed For Debut At GamescomJust last week a Diablo 3 teaser page was released with the title, Reaper of Souls. It was hinted that this could be the upcoming expansion for Blizzard’s action RPG, Diablo 3, and in case you were thinking that it might be something else despite previous hints, it looks like the expansion can be confirmed, and that the trailer itself will be shown off at Gamescom which is taking place in Germany. This is thanks to the German classification board who posted classification details. The posting was titled “D3 D3C & D3XP (gamescom Trailer)” with its publisher listed as Blizzard Entertainment SAS, and the genre being referred to as “trailer”.

The fact that the title itself says “D3XP” is pretty much a dead giveaway, not to mention Blizzard’s own Nick Carpenter was quoted last week as saying, “Wrapped another amazing cinematic. Can’t wait to show the world!” all but confirms the expansion. In any case we expect it shouldn’t be too long before the trailer makes its debut, so be sure to check back with us later for the details and hopefully a video as well! So, who else is excited about the upcoming Diablo 3 expansion?
