You can more or less say that IKEA has popularized the notion of packing everything flat, and I love the way they advertised their flattest package yet – the IKEA gift card. Surely you are unable to get any more thinner than that, can you? Well, here we are with what could be deemed to be a modern day marvel – a SLR camera that you assemble yourself. Wait a minute here, you say, aren’t these things supposed to be assembled on a production line somewhere in the world? Well, perhaps, but there is a certain satisfaction that comes with building things using your own bare hands, right? The £34.99 Konstruktor DIY SLR camera offers “flatpack photography” for those who love tinkering around with stuff.
It comes with clear and simple instructions, but even so, it is estimated to take anywhere from one to two hours in order to build your own camera. Once you are done with the task, it remains up to you to do up the external aesthetics, where you can rely on stick on leather detailing thanks to the included sticker sheet. One ought to note that Lomography is the one behind the Konstruktor DIY SLR Camera, but just remember that this is no digital camera. Rather, it will rely on classic 35mm film.

Instructables contributor Triumphman built this amazing folding steel weapon himself. He used an angle grinder to cut the shapes out of steel, then drilled a pivot hole. After that he smoothed and sharpened the edges, painted it, and screwed it together.
It looks great and folds up nicely to tuck into your utility belt. Head over to Instructables for the full details on how to make one for yourself. It looks pretty straightforward if you know how to work with metal and you have the right tools in your lair. No doubt, it looks horribly dangerous for the rest of us.

One of those have practically become reality. These steel Wolverine claws are so fantastically perfect that you could fight Wolverine himself with it. And maybe even win.

Here’s an invention that would go well with the Clapper: a bra that unclasps when you clap. Now that’s a reason to turn the lights down low. You’d think this gadget would be a hit on the Internet, but its Kickstarter was actually a massive flop. I am disappoint. Or not.
Instructables member Randy Sarafan posted instructions to make the silly undergarment. But he didn’t come up with the concept; he only tried to replicate a novelty item that’s apparently already being sold in Syrian markets. Here’s a NSFW demo of the bra:
The fact that the bra already exists may be one of the reasons why Randy’s Kickstarter didn’t succeed. We need someone to import the thing; not invent it. Then again I think his cheesy pitch video is mostly to blame. I always find Star Trek’s utopia future pretty dumb. The human race is never going to be perfect and live in harmony. Because… This thing. This gun from the future is all kinds of bad-ass. It looks like Smith and Wesson made love to TRON and left this bright glowing and deadly baby on our doorstep.
This is a fully-functioning coilgun that launches metal bolts with the power of electricity. The coilgun technology you see here was all jammed inside and around a G36 airsoft gun.
It has a night vision infrared camera and viewfinder, lasers, and a magazine that holds batteries instead of bullets. And if you saw those three lasers at the end of the rifles barrels pointing your way, you’d better duck.
